June 7, 20214 yr @Bandyka I agree others posting sharp photos doesn't particularly help, but don't let others frustrate you. I think I had the same problem as you, and I know it can drive you crazy. Try toggling the bing map data as I suggested. As MSFS is still a bit quirky, a toggle switch saying it is on may not necessarily mean it is on . The other thing I did was switch texture quality from high performance to high quality in Nvidia control panel. Sometimes a new driver install can reset it. I am not sure if this fixed it as I fell into the trap of a frustrated man of changing too many things at once (as MSFS loading time is so long!), but certainly, something put it right, even if it was just a reboot. I hope you solve it! Edited June 7, 20214 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). June 7, 20214 yr Author Thanks. Oh no I am not frustrated at all 🙂 If that 's their thing I am happy for them to post it. Yes I did try the toggling of Bing it may have actually helped but was too tired to test. Will see tomorrow. Will test with the new Perth AU Airport scenery first. Looked great on the photos and I love that city and flew there a few times for real. Cheers Simming since FS 98. I helps me to believe the thing is just a long work in progress, so expectations are toned down, though I certainly can relate to your frustration of wanting to have it work. Hopefully you have some other fun programs to run if you don't want to deal w/ the vagaries of MSFS in its current state of development. I know what it should look like when it works 🙂 I don't believe it will ever work well if you ask me, FSX never did, we kept buying new hardware hoping it would perform, never did. Now we keep hoping ASOBO will fix things but there are more and more things going wrong with each "fix" 🙂 I just want a stable product and let 3rd parties take care of taking it to the next level. I am not negative toned at all just want a relatively solid base product that is unlikely to happen any time soon and I can be confident when I fire it up I get to spent quality time instead of chatting on forums and looking for solutions. Its a shame as one can never enjoy it after a long day. Also spent hundreds of $$$ already on it plus lots on hardware. For no real benefit so far. ooh well lets hope it wakes up tomorrow with a better attitude 🙂 Edited June 7, 20214 yr by Bandyka Simming since FS 98. June 7, 20214 yr I think it will improve, but what I've always thought was that so much resource is being spent in the Xbox w/ DX-12 deployment (they say Aug 2021 currently) several things are left on the back burner, to our dismay of course. In my mind this project is much more that a base product, which may be its Achilles Heel, but then again I think it helps temper that desire for 'just' a solid base product. My experience really, honestly, is that in large part it's improved over time, with some serious nagging problems still, and a few new ones. I've zendesked a major one that to me if anyone at Asobo looks at it will address it pretty quickly, at least I believe it's very likely, and it is a source of two nagging problems, microstuttering associated w/ the spinning Dev Mod Console logging activity, as well as a minor issue tied to that--pilot log not being updated when the user-identified 'solution' is applied. I think looking for solutions will be in large part an exercise in futility. Most people don't really know what causes what and as you know it's so easy to assume a connection between events that ends up being spurious. Use it when it wants to play well, fly FSX/P3D if it isn't, or what have you. Even w/ its various problems I've still had no desire to return to P3D for several months now, but it's still there if I want to use it. I fired up the sim after about 3 months did the updates and all and now the ground textures are blurry as hell and look worse than FSX on low settings. I can't remember what was this fix for these? Thanks heaps. Does it happen everywhere or in specific locations? I have the impression that this issue is related to specific areas and their Bing low quality coverage. It has been discussed here and here, please take a look. Edited June 8, 20214 yr by MrFuzzy 7800X3D | 2x32 GB DDR5-6000 CL32 | RTX 5080 | Alienware OLED 34" | 1 Gbps fiber

Hopefully will get to fly (try) today again. Also having FPS problems no matter how low I go with the settings I only get max 24-29FPS but the average now is 15-18 around developed airports. CPU and GPU cruising around 50-60% with no spikes over 75-80%. i7 6700K 2080 Super. Even when set to Low End and flying at 20000 feet looking up the sky only. June 8, 20214 yr I tried the setting graphics to medium and back again trick. The performance absolutely tanks and becomes stuttery at Medium settings. I set it at Ultra, and it's butter smooth. The only other difference was that the ground textures looked like absolute shait on both settings, except a bit worse on Medium. I also tried turning off and on Bing data, photogrammetry, data usage and everything. No difference. Tiles keep rendering in around me, but its just 1-2 miles. And trees pop up in those tiles and become denser the closer you get. (I have LOD 200, Trees Ultra) Something is utterly broken with this sim.
