There are so many pages here and topics in the forums I've lost track. Thanks. This is not yet defined by LM... what about giving them some time? 😉 Bert

The fact that someone else doesn't have a particular issue is an important data point that can help identify where that issue lies...e.g. with other addons, hardware, drivers, settings etc. That someone else mentions that they don't see your problem doesn't mean you don't have it or that it doesn't exist, but it does mean that there is another configuration unlike yours that does work. That may mean nothing to you, but it certainly may be meaningful to others. I think it speaks well for LM, even granted flaws that are there. So, if you are referring to my post , you got it dead wrong . I noted that a HF is likely coming . That will work for the betterment of all who are invested in the success of P3D v.5.2 Sherm probably because he paid good money for it. Its like going to mcdonalds and you get cold fries, but the other 2 tables around you get hot ones and you all paid for their product. then you take it back and the server says to you, "bugger off, go open your own restuarant" or they tell you they are the mother teresa of the burger world and you should be so happy to have fries in the first place, even though you just paid good money for them. just my opinion Edited June 18, 20214 yr by fluffyflops

June 18, 20214 yr Here we go again, as soon as there is a reasonable discussion about some 'problems' people may or may not have with a program a comparison has to be made with a completely different program. I had a few early issues that were not related to the program itself but the interaction with addons not made by LM. Do I expect LM to take into account all the varieties of programming used by other developers not at all! Does the program work as advertised - well for this user it does. Is it perfection, not but what ever will be. I have been involved in model development and testing for ages, it never ceases to amaze me that some come back to you and say it won't work! or this does not work and you cannot reproduce the problem. The other bug is the user who turns up saying why can't you do this or that? Answer some times they are astute observers other times just no idea about why it cannot be done! Customer Service complaints - LM is not selling fast food but a serious simulator application and you can be sure that on large scale user systems the program works and works well. Maybe they could respond a little better by noting the receipt of the problem but then I am sure they must also be monitoring their forums - so post there! And I do not agree it is a mess at all but the complaints again reflect the sheer diversity of hardware software combinations that are around - and some probably never sold with the idea of running a high level simulator program. Some folk would benefit from getting to know their own systems from the monitor on to see what they have and what they can do with it and not expect LM to provide a fix for each and every cpu, gpu, monitor, hard drive, motherboard and power supply ever made not to mention the dissarray that some platforms get into over time with software changes! If people have a problem with a post then debating it in a mature manner is probably better than downvoting which tends to annoy. I've had that problem on Aerosoft and you can't even see who downvoted your post. Hence why I rarely post over there. Ray (Cheshire, England). June 18, 20214 yr Administrators Folks, Please stick to the topic and keep in mind that you are in the P3D forum! There is no problem with stating what you think is wrong or needs fixing, but please refrain from comparing this to other Sims. Keep your MSFS 2020 comments in that forum and not here. June 18, 20214 yr The erroneous title that has been allowed to remain, despite requests to have it edited to reflect the actual original complaint, is no doubt attracting the adverse comments and comparisons that the other topic title, "5.2: No ATC and a freeze on view change" has not. I have read that the kind of title used in this topic is commonly known as clickbait. Edited June 18, 20214 yr by Reader

But when someone doesn't have a problem that can actually be useful ... there were many people (like myself) not having a problem with some of the things being reported. This is actually good, because it helps figure out what might be different between users without the problem and users with the problem ... it's that difference that LM can then zero in on and hopefully replicate. LM were having a hard time replicating the problem. I can related to LM's issue with replication as I recently had a similar issue with one (and only one) of my Beta users ... he was reporting a problem I could NOT replicate and it was a significant issue ... I spent over two days trying to replicate and going back and forth with the Beta user and both of us getting frustrated. I was able to solve the issue thanks to a suggestion from another dev along with discovering some oddly formatted data (a clue) ... the Beta user is German and working with Win 10 OS currency format for Germany where they use "," (comma) rather than "." (decimal). My fault for not taking into account International language variants and it was a easy fix ... lesson for me but the trigger was "environmental". I do agree LM should have delayed the release to get more end user data to enable them to fix (but I've said this of just about every Flight Sim dev team from LM, to MS/Asobo to LR). Cheers, Rob. Hi Rob, This German Guy, donI know him? Because I had a similar issue with one of my products I have tested Beta.... 😉 This story sounds familiar to me Regards, Marcus P.
