Microsoft will eventually have Seasons made, sometimes in 2022. It would be interesting to see how it would work. It will probably have automatic/dynamic season with automatic installation based on the season you select in weather panel or live weather. That's something my mod does not offer. Will it have opposite seasons in northern and southern hemisphere? Maybe or maybe not. But I am pretty sure they won't have corrected ecosystems and these new 3d trees listed below and placing them in correct areas: Bamboo trees - Placed in Bamboo Forest in China, Joshua trees in Joshua National Parks Giant redwood and Sequoia trees in California and Yosemite area Banana trees in tropical area. Plumeria trees with flowers in Honolulu Azalea Forest in Nepal forest Japanese maple, Baobab trees in Baobab alley in Madagascar Dragon blood tree in Yemen (available in next update) Eucalyptus (Gum tree), (available in next update) Prunus, (available in next update) Persian silk tree (mimosa), (available in next update) Magnolia, Italian Cypress, Birch trees Douglas pine, Pinus Sylvestris, (very tall pines) (available in next update) Willow trees, (available in next update) 30 different leafless winter trees. Wild flower fields. Cultivated flower fields More trees are being created and added weekly. These new 3d trees will still work with Seasons from Microsoft. I also don't think they will correct the placement of wrong trees in many places. More than 300's regions have corrected eco system based on native trees (and continuing to improve) .For example, adding missing Palm trees or cactus in many places or replacing pine trees with deciduous or vise versa. Adding palm trees on beaches. Correcting tree sizes and density in most places. Removing trees from ships or boats or in wrong places. Free support and updates: Seasons mod are being improved and updated regularly (few times a month). That's why I take requests to improve the season mod. If you don't see the correct trees in an area, I will have it fixed within a couple of days. I don't think Microsoft will be able to fulfill these requests. So there are Pros and Cons and the choice is yours to make. July 4, 20214 yr It would be great to see more developers working with such dedication as Bijan does. I bought this package maybe half a year ago for 20 or something $$$ from Simmarket and it's been continually updated since. Not to mention the ongoing support for new users here and on the official forum. Not to say, he's the only one providing support, but there are a few developers who never show up after release. Only to mention Ultimate Traffic/UTLive as a glaring example. It explains everything in install.txt that you have in your files you downloaded and it's been explained several times. It's pretty much self explanatory as well. It's a very easy mod to install. Just please read and it's very easy to follow. Copy from "install.txt" How to install: Just place ONLY ONE SEASON FOLDER (not all 4 folders) in your community folder. To change season: If, for example, you have summer installed and you want to install winter, remove summer from community folder and replace it with winter folder. Place "3D models - Bijan V**" in your community folder. Place "Gorse bushes in UK" in community folder if you would like to see Gorse bushes in UK which are randomly placed. Place "LOWI Airport 3D Winter Trees V1.0" in community folder if you would like to see new winter trees in LOWI area. Changing season is not controlled by the setting in the sim settings.
