Anyone else noticing a performance gain.

Granted i am only running at 1080, but i have noticed and been able to increase most of my settings to Ultra ( Radeon RX 5700 XT) and the load has definetley shifted from my CPU (AMD 3800x) 10-20% and onto the GPU 80-90%. I wonder are they tweaking things behind the scenes just now?

Has there been an update recently?

probably a windows update that’s helping.

No, but let's open another couple of threads about the same thing while we're at it.

Aye, good idea..

I'm going to open one!..  I will probably leave it until after the 27th now though...

PS.  No performance improvement for me at the moment.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Placebo I think. There are situations where I get a cpu bottleneck and others that I don’t. The update aiming performance improvements wasn’t deployed yet, so no reason to believe what you are seeing is because they changed something.

Although, like someone said above, it could be something on your Windows or system in general.

9800X3D@H150i // Msi RTX 5090 Trio OC // 64GB DDR5 6000mhz CL30 // 2TB + 1TB Nvme
Dell 27" 2127DGF - 1440p - Gsync - 165hz
Thrustmaster TCA Sidestick Airbus // TCA Quadrant Airbus // TFRP T.Flight Rudder Pedals // Logitech Flight Multi Panel

I do feel like performance is the best it’s been right now but I do feel like the graphics have slipped a little.. I haven’t changed anything. Can’t quite put my finger on it but it’s noticeable.

Down low over central Paris runs so much faster fps right now, last couple of days. Don't know why. It used to choke and stutter.

The only reason i asked the question was i had been on approach to EGLL, over London (used to be a stutter fest) and i did not get one stutter right in, I pulled up the fps info etc which was showing the cpu at 17% and Gpu at 90%. Before the Cpu would be up around 60-70% and the GPU 40-60%. This is without any changes my end, so something has changed in the last week. This was using the latest build of the A320NX

Just did two test flights, one around Rome and the other North of Florence.

Noticeably smoother, no long pauses even at 4K 100% and many sliders on ultra.

Switching on dev mode, I see an increase of close to 10% fps and now the sim is more GPU limited.

Not here. Last few days have been the worst performance I've ever experienced.

[email protected] - ROG Strix Z790-E - 2X16Gb G.Skill Trident DDR5 6400 CL32 - MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X - WD SN850X 2 TB M.2 - XPG S70 Blade 2 TB M.2 - MSI A1000G PCIE5 1000 W 80+ Gold PSU - Liam Li 011 Dynamic Razer case - 58" Panasonic TC-58AX800U 4K - Pico 4 VR  HMD - WinWing HOTAS Orion2 MAX - ProFlight Pedals - TrackIR 5 - W11 Pro (Passmark:12574, CPU:63110-Single:4785, GPU:50688)

Yes same noticing cpu and gpu spikes.

I don’t understand these devs, fix one thing and the rest gets messed up.

it’s a vicious cycle. That never ends.

but I must admit Simming has come along way.
