Weather seems ok now

Featured Replies

Just to add sth positive:

never had any installation issues nor CTDs or similar.

Before the hotfix I was plagued by temperature fluctuations, and even yesterday after the hotfix it occured, but just once.

On my flight today temperatures are really stable and I get incredible accurate wether, have a look below.

Maybe they fix on the serverside more then we think.

Yeah I've just done Nantes to Geneva at FL270 with no temp spikes...

To be honest, not quite correct as it seems t be some hours off.

Maybe theres an issue with UTC and lcl?

The clouds seem to have some strange pink colour banding underneath in that picture.  Is that in sim, or just an effect of the screen capture?

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Haven't realised this in the sim, was too busy with flying around the storm cell.

If it is in the picture it is in the sim also, I would say.

But other poeple alo reported that colours have changed and clouds are affected

Not necessarily. When you take a jpg screenshot you get the compressed version of the image, that could contain artifacts, especially in the areas where the colors change.

I don't see anything unusual in the clouds after SU5, in my opinion they look exactly like before.

It still is unpredictable. Moreover, METAR reports (in the FBW A320Neo) are not obtainable either. (Just did a LICJ-EDDK flight and had to switch from live weather to a preset mode).

In my case QNH is still totally messed up on every flight. I should be at FL390 right now, yet I'm at FL410 so the ATC doesn't nag me all the time about not being at FL390.

Same here, that's why I selected a weather preset. Weird thing (or not) is that LittleNavmap is displaying the correct altitude I am flying at. (ISA was +8 at FL390, just as a fyi).

Kind regards,

Same here! I guess we need to wait for another hotfix for Live weather. I always fly with Live weather, never actually used a preset. Apparently, I'll have to do it now.

Same problem I have. The ATC program I use keeps nagging me that I am at the wrong altitude, and it never did this before.

It seem they have changed the rendering to suit HDR not SDR, so yes there are some funny colored clouds now and as you have must have read, very wasted out land scapes. Plus setting not being set/keep etc, the list saddly goes on...

Just did a flight at FL320 in the WT CJ4 and I can confirm that the temp/wind issue appears to be resolved.  Thanks to whoever was involved in fixing this.

Preset(s) will save you from a lot of frustrations till the problem has been resolved. I am not sure FS2020 is to blame here, it might be the wx server as well. Don't know.

It is still buggy...

They hinted some sort of geopotential height variation with T from ISA, but there were problems and they apparently reverted back to the standard ISA model.
