I think all staff at Asobo should step up from their computers for a while, and then take a deep breath.

I don't know if i would be blaming Asobo, This is more likely down to MS, Asobo only work for them.

Some months ago I said on this forum that ASobo should put a  "Closed for a week" sign on their door and forces everybody in their team to play the sim for a whole week, 10 hours a day. It would do marvels for the next update !

Simming since 1981 -  [email protected] GHz with 16 GB of RAM and a 1080 with 8 GB VRAM running a 27" @ 2560*1440 - Windows 10 - Warthog HOTAS - MFG pedals - MSFS Standard version with Steam

I think there are two chances of Asobo returning the quality look that the sim had prior to SU5, back to us, slim and none. This game is already out for X box, and if they release a patch returning MSFS to it's former good look, the immediate effect it will have , will be to roll back performance to where it was prior to SU5, and the X boxers will be screaming about the update that lowered the performance on their X box. So what we see now, is probably just the way it will stay, unfortunately.

You can try the changes in UserCfg. I have no idea how much difference it really makes as I would need to compare in a more detailed fashion. Another thing many do not realize is our own "image memory" as humans (if that is what we still are), is generally very bad, so it's hard to compare with something you saw even 1 minute ago with a new change. Side by side is easier, screenshots help too.

I hope they leave it just as it is in SU5. Looks and runs absolutely fabulously for me now.

And for many of us it looks like word not allowed.

I am ok with it as well.  There are changes to the rendering; but for me, in VR mode I have good resolution and I can see terrain farther now and not stuttering.  So happy with it at present after 4-5 days of working things out.

My main display being a projector and screen, I'm still working things out. It's just a bit more complicated with projectors than other devices, I need to replace the bulb is what it boils down to, so I can then use HDR mode and create a custom calibration.

you can say that too  for some players.

Dang the best update ever turned out to be the worse - starting notice lots of issues popping scenery - draw distance - liveries dont work anymore - blurry - sluggish gui - all of my saved views are gone - throttle sensitivity is hosed - not good

It does seem to be the most inconsistent update I've ever seen, but don't fret, restart or maybe even reboot and you can be rest assured of a varied experience. SU-5 truly is like a box of chocolates.

Are you referring to the incompatible default planes or the incompatible disappeared jetways or the incompatible default AI CTD, or perhaps you might be referring to the incompatible rudder issue. Wait, that might not be it, perhaps you are referring to the incompatible default animations, or the multiplayer enabled bug with AI enabled bug, well I guess not, maybe it's just the incompatible don't click here bug. Could be the incompatible default trim bug. I think I forgot the incompatible default mesh projection bug, trying to keep all these sorted, but having some incompatibility issues with my setup 🙂

Relax brother. As we say in the real world industry: whatever comes your way, just fly the word not allowed plane!
