I never said there was an issue with Ultra not staying at Ultra. I said maybe for some to look into (I personally never had that issue).

The only thing I ever said was LOD and ground texture issues and gamma, same thing i was saying since 5 minutes after the patch was released. Some issues with shadows, but that may be because of the over-exposure my settings were changed.

my bad.

I am positively suprised by the fact that most of the issues debated here on AVSIM are going to be resolved with that hotfix. I probably will be negatively surprised when it breaks something else or isn't even fixed, but well, at least it's not as bad as we thought regarding intentional downgrading of graphics (like intentionally removing volumetric lighting for the XBOX release or using VGA-textures above 30,000 feet). But I really do have lost a lot of confidence in their ability to fix things and even more in their ability to NOT break things and even more more in their ability to detect those broken things before release and/or not releasing an update that is a complete mess before fixing it.

Would be kind of smart and cool if they would implement an option to keep exactly these performance for people with medium hardware and optimize the other end for people with higher hardware.

Maybe an X-Box Series X/S Preset to go along with the Low/Medium/High/Ultra presets.

Why spoil the good fun we have reading this news ?

And be certainly wrong too. The bugs were obviously introduced through the complex process of trimming the PC code to adapt it to the S box.  Watch Fuentes interview.  Enlightening.

and...nobody can convince me that BECAUSE of threads suggesting there was a dumbing down for the Xbox...that that did not LIGHT A FIRE under Asobo's collective you-know-what....and that is why this coming Hot Fix and the WU6 will be a 'targets acquired'....update.   Those threads were important, and not just to be smirked at. It lit a fire....under the right P.R. 'butts'....

Yes, we (almost) all lost confidence, That´s a fact. I said I was naive to expect a good resolution to the disaster,  but I like to be like that in life rather a cynical pessimistic guy.

What does this mean?

The terrain level of detail is more than 1 terrain pixel per 4K screen pixel.

Usually when developers talk about texture resolution they say things like "30cm pr pixel".

Trimming code is optimization and can lead to better performance. You have no proof that the "trim" introduced issues in the PC version. If you look at the list of issues you will see that one of them came about as a result of them trying to make clouds look BETTER!

Conspiracy theory nonsense. You have no evidence of any of that.

Of course it did. It´s not silly to think that us as users forced the change a...little. Definitely saying "yes , please, thank you "to everything Asobo did didn´t help a bit to have several hotfixes .

Yes, it's not mentioned, whilst we'll benefit from some of those mentioned areas there's a lot more that needs to be done to get VR back to SU4 standards.

Alot more needs to be done to get the shimmering in the scenery to go back to not being there like it wasn't in SU4 .

Your 'nonsense' is another's thoughts...and valid ones.  That sort of 'nonsense' can move mountains....in 4 to 5 days...

Both hotfixes are happening way too fast for that to be true.

That's not how that works.

The community says “word not allowed you asobo for dumbing down my flight sim for Xbox”

Asobo say “ sorry these were just bugs here is a hot fix”

Community says “I love you Asobo I knew you wouldn’t let us down”

Absolutely Aristoteles, absolutely.   I feel this rapid effort is to prove to us, that there was no agenda on their part.   Good....it brought results that we will all benefit from!

Yes the threads helped them narrow down the issues to fix. But they would have fixed them either way when pointed out.
