Some of it was, like the issue with Ultra not staying at ultra.

I never said there was an issue with Ultra not staying at Ultra. I said maybe for some to look into (I personally never had that issue).

The only thing I ever said was LOD and ground texture issues and gamma, same thing i was saying since 5 minutes after the patch was released. Some issues with shadows, but that may be because of the over-exposure my settings were changed.

Someone on the official forum brought up a good point.  He speculated that perhaps the boost in FPS that everybody was/were getting was BECAUSE of all these bugs...not rendering right.  We will have to see, come Friday or Monday next. It will be interesting, that...right now with Ultra on a 1070, I can keep 29/30 FPS.   I wonder what I will get post Friday!

Looks like a decent patch, hope it does what it says it does.

10 days of so many others insulting people in threads claiming no lod or texture changes and it was all in our imagination, and here we are...

Same thing happened to me when I complained about the textures in the DC6 cockpit, until PMDG admitted that they had installed low res textures in an update that was released at the same time as SU5.

God hears prayer, I am very grateful that the washed out colors was included in next hot fix.

Hold up, you mean all of those issues were just bugs and had NOTHING to do with them downgrading the graphics so Xbox could shine? WHATTT?

Why spoil the good fun we have reading this news ?

And be certainly wrong too. The bugs were obviously introduced through the complex process of trimming the PC code to adapt it to the S box.  Watch Fuentes interview.  Enlightening.

@Alpine Scenery You were right all the time (or almost 😉 ), I give you that, I am sorry if I confronted you in a White Knight manner the first day after SU5.

Yeah I am going to look at my FPS after the hotfix and see what happens to them too.

Who said Asobo has poor communication with the community?  Asobo has the best communication with the community, among all flight sim developers

Me, they may be the best in the flight sim world but they're very poor compared to Racing Sim Devs and other games, this to me if further proof....a whole week later and the text reads like it's all new to them, their whole QA department needs a revamp and they need a Quality Control specialist alongside someone who knows how to communicate better.

This is at least in part from over-tuning for Xbox. The good news here is that they aren't leaving it like that.

Would be kind of smart and cool if they would implement an option to keep exactly these performance for people with medium hardware and optimize the other end for people with higher hardware.

I am positively suprised by the fact that most of the issues debated here on AVSIM are going to be resolved with that hotfix. I probably will be negatively surprised when it breaks something else or isn't even fixed, but well, at least it's not as bad as we thought regarding intentional downgrading of graphics (like intentionally removing volumetric lighting for the XBOX release or using VGA-textures above 30,000 feet). But I really do have lost a lot of confidence in their ability to fix things and even more in their ability to NOT break things and even more more in their ability to detect those broken things before release and/or not releasing an update that is a complete mess before fixing it.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Problem?

Yes, it's not mentioned, whilst we'll benefit from some of those mentioned areas there's a lot more that needs to be done to get VR back to SU4 standards.

And so many on this forum denied that happened too.
