August 6, 20214 yr Months ago I took some Asobo aircraft I haven't flown out of their folder to clean stuff up a bit & next time I opened MSFS it reran the most recent, [at that time], update, & put them back in the Sim. T45

I know this because I have suffered through it. IF you go to the Profile/Content Manager and delete the liveries training programme or bushtrips etc. (all marked up to date) it does indeed take a very very long time to delete those items. What really concerns me though, is the fact that the very next time you load the sim, you will get a mandatory update. That update is simply putting everything back into you content manager. In reality it is not an update at all and that would explain your current version number. This whole thing is an exercise in stupidity, futility and frustration. I deleted some 25 GB (from memory) and that took seven hours ... the mandatory update to put it all back took two hours. All in all, a complete waste of time and effort. Hope this helps you in your quest for information and I really hope it helps anyone else who wants to slim down their sim, particularly when chasing shorter loading times. Regards Tony Tony Chilcott.
