Do you have the Carbon Black interior mod installed. First time I loaded the updated TBM with the Carbon Black interior - as soon as I turned on the battery switch it CTD'd.

I uninstalled that interior mod and haven't had a CTD with it since.

Roger, sir.  Can't turn off SVT here either.  Bit of a shame as I really don't like it, once I'm into the climb.  Still, absolutely amazing mod.  It's unbelievable that not only do the doors work, but the locking system is simulated too, including the red/green safety lights.   Just fabulous.

Edit: It was a texture causing the problem. The default ones work ok.

 

Do you have the PMS GTN installed with JD's panel mod from flightsim.to too? If so, it's not compatible. I had the same problem, but resolved it by removing the TBM GTN panel mod.

I have the PMS GTN but I don't know what is this JD panel mod you are referring to, so I probably don't have it. Can you give me a link to it so I can confirm?

Ridiculous? Really? Someone made a great mod for free, and you call it ridiculous because you have to edit a bunch of files to customize it to your needs? If you think it's important, try to get in touch with the author, maybe he listens to your suggestion. 

I've seen him on the official forums, not sure if he posts here on AVSIM, so you have a good chance of catching him.

You only need to change two files, it was the first thing I did.

"If you wish to remove pilots by default, add to all .flt (apron.flt, runway.flt) files these strings (in [LocalVars.0])

XMLVAR_TBM930_HidePilot=1
XMLVAR_TBM930_HideCoPilot=1"

The camera file is modded also, so if you have custom camera bindings, replace it from the vanilla version.

OK - I can now confirm that synthetic vision can't be turned off.  I'm not sure whether this is a TBM mod issue or an issue with the WT g3000.

The other ones are only for external view I think.

I don't have any interior mod - just a livery.  Thankfully I have completed 5 flights with the mod and no CTDs.  Very happy with it.
