Windows update had a new Nvidia drive to install this morning. I made sure it did not install. My sim runs fine now, and in the past I have usually found that the latest drivers often caused problems, if you had one that was already working fine. If it ain't broke, I'm not fixing it.

Hi,

Good for you!

I've installed it right now, because I have a ton of CTDs!

It won't be worse!

I'm going to try it!

Cheers!

Can't understand all running allways for new Nvidia drivers, i have 461.92 a long time now

and installed newer ons in the past and they made my Flightsim experience more worse than the older one's - i stay with my older one, performing well for me.

cheers 😉

Hi,

It was a notification of GeForce Experience.

Hello Friends,

Last few drivers (including 471.68 today) had some problems during setup.

How can I install an older driver ? Thanks.

Intel i7-9700K - AMD 7900 XT (VRAM 20GB) - 32 Gb Ram - SSD Drive - Win10 x64 - Samsung 43" 4K TV - Quest 3 VR

Installed.

I had a few crashes that said 'driver reset and recovered' in event viewer.  It is more likely MSFS and the way the graphics have changed, but I will try the new driver anyway.

Really though, unless it mentions anything specific relating to MSFS in the release notes, all you have is a new driver!

EDIT:  Just found the release notes.  Not much of any use.  A bit more of a tweak to DLSS (which MSFS doesn't use) and the following: -

 [Batman Arkham Knight][GeForce 10 Series]: The game may crash when turbulence smoke is
used. [3202250]
 [Hitman 3]: The game may display random flickering when V-SYNC is disabled [200742415]
 [Monster Hunter World]: The game displays flashing glitches after extended gameplay.
[3336071]
 [Assassin's Creed Odyssey]: Drops in frame rate occur during gameplay and when running
the benchmark. [3345840]
 [Topaz Video Enhance AI]: The application fails to process video with driver TDR error.
[200725519]
 [D5 Render]: Black corruption overlay occurs with NVIDIA DLSS ON.[200724612]
 Rendering artifacts appear on the desktop when using NVIDIA SDR deep color (10pbc).
[3340917]
 [PLA Benchmark][PhysX]: The NVIDIA GPU is not used for PhysX when running the
benchmark. [3099182]

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Hi kt069,

Here you can find the drivers Nvidia archive:

https://www.nvidia.it/Download/Find.aspx?lang=US

Hmm, may give this one a go or roll back a couple versions. Only installed .41 the other day while I was fiddling with v sync/g sync settings and now my sim pauses for 6 or 7 seconds at random parts of the flight. Never had this problem before SU5 and didn't happen during the first week of SU5 so not sure if it's a hotfix 2 problem or since I've updated the drivers.

These iterations on the drivers are usually just minor things, like small fixes and optimization for the latest games.
