Well, this thread has certainty tweaked my appetite for it - hurry up Carenado!

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Wonder why they haven't updated the 'Incoming' page of their website yet. I hope that doesn't mean it's too far away to be considered as such.

In a game looks matter over practicality.

absolutely! that's why I can choose from 3 Carenados in my hangar and I am looking forward to add their Embraer Phenom 300 jet, no fractional ownership - I  will pay those 29.99 $ all by myself, yes!

looks do count especially in a graphics rich simulator like MSFS, but that is just me.

60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking.

very nice.

I have resisted my old urge to add a number of third-party aircraft in this sim (so far). But, this one may make give in.

I'm guessing this is likely to be a model of the C337H in which case am I right in thinking that's a pressurised aircraft ?

If it is anything like the real aircraft, your neighbors should be able to hear it while you are flying it.

Yes.  And it is likely to be, as Carenado did a great H version for FSX/P3D.

I can't remember if it was turbo as well - it can be optional on the H model.

I would rather have the turbo model if possible.

Yeah with a pressurised cabin turbocharged engines to make the most of the altitude would seem sensible.

Aeroplane Heaven's Cessna 140 just oozes quality.  It so visually appealing in almost art deco manner,  and it's fun to fly.

Besides all the various things mentioned how cool this plane is.

Lets not forget, this thing sounds MONSTEROUS. Like it's literally beating the air into submission

 Awesome!

That sooooo reminds me of this in flight,

Might well just be the angle but the rear gear in that shot looks scarily flimsy.

hmm...love this announcement. hoping the cowl flaps will affect engine temps (like the real thing and unlike the other Carenado versions)

Valid criticism of Carenado, and mine as well.

Decent graphics most of the time, yes.  But I never understood why Carenado doesn't just make up their mind to finish the job, do quality work, and gain the reputation of a quality 3rd party source, instead of just a mediocre one.  Stuff not modeled and dummy switches/knobs are major buzzkills for me.  And yes, I'm completely willing to pay the extra few bucks for that.

I share your view on this.. but after discussing this with them over the years, I have given up.

They have a business model that works for them, and they do not aspire to "a2a status" 🙂

Key to their success appears to be a product development calendar that they stick to, bugs or no bugs..  which is why they must be really annoyed at MS for screwing up their airplanes in SU5.. 😉

What will be interesting to watch as we see more Carenado releases of models they first developed for previous simulators is if they correct the bugs/flaws they did not attend to after those earlier releases.
