[Release] EDDR Airport Saarbrücken

Featured Replies

At this point I would like to show my latest project: Saarbrücken Airport (EDDR).

For those who are not familiar with this airport:
EDDR is a international airport in the west of Germany near the french border. It is located on a hill near the city of Saarbrücken. From here, both domestic connections and scheduled flights to various holiday destinations are offered.
With 1990 meters, the runway is long enough for wide-body jets like the A330 or the Boeing 767. But most time, you will see A320s, Boeing 737s and turboprops such as the ATR72 on the apron.

EDDR is now available for download on my homepage:

Freds Airports

Watch the trailer on youtube

There are 2 download options:

- those who want to support me and my projects can get a fast and ad-free download for 1.60€. Convenient and secure payment via Paypal, no additional registration or account necessary. If you think the airport is worth more, you are welcome to pay / donate a higher amount 😉

- there is a completely free download via Uploaded. This contains advertising and is usually very slow.

toll! fantastico!

I love the terminal building interior detail, the transparent glass and your before-after youtube. every designer should do that. thanks a lot!

Wow, didn’t know of your site. Love to fly in Germany. You have a new supporter!

HAPPY FLYING

I believe EDDR was one of my first updated Airports back in FS9.

Looking forward to seeing it again.

Here we have a top class product for 1,60 Euro or free if you so choose. In my neck of the woods FSX port-overs are selling for 16 Euro’s and look like garbage.

Nicely done Fred, a new hub for my fleet. Will support, and add your site to my list of favourites to check in on.

In case of an update, there will be a notice on my homepage. Furthermore, all buyers of the affected airport will be informed by mail.

Just purchased and flew there via the CJ4 - a very nice airport, a good purchase!

Nice piece of work. The default looks pretty decent , although it bears no resemblance to the real thing.😊

There is a fun glitch with this add-on though... look directly below the ground crew member standing on the spiral stairs on the secondary tower... I reckon one of his colleagues has played a prank on him! 😄

OS:     Win11 Home; Mobo: Asus TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi D4; CPU: Intel i5-12400 (Alder Lake) 4.4 GHz
RAM: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 64Gb (4x16GB) 3600 MHz; GPU:  MSI Radeon RX 5700XT [8GB]
SSD:  Corsair Force MP510 (for OS);  2x 1TB & 1x 2TB Sabrent Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 (one for sim, two for addons)
HDD:  Seagate 3TB (Data); Seagate 1TB (Programs), ASUS TUF Gaming VG32VQ1B Curved 31.5" monitor, 1440p, 38Mbs ethernet

Fulcrum One Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo throttle, Thrustmaster Airbus TCA sidestick & throttle, Logitech Pro pedals, Xbox wireless gamepad (1st gen)

Really nice, hopefully it will survive the next upgrade unscathed.
