I must say I'm impressed with the boost in performance with my old system (CPU wise see signature) I just did a flight over southern California (high setting, no v-sync) and the fps were holding 60-65 fps and that was at 1900 hours. A gorgeous sunset I must say.

Yes I am pretty happy, no CTD's and smooth flying.

Same here: no CTDs, great performance, smooth flying.

Microsoft and Asobo continue to deliver.

Yep my thoughts exactly. I was quick to moan when it was bad (and it was) but credit now due because it’s one smooth flying experience for me.  Even the clouds look better now.

Yes same here, very happy with how the SIM performs, render scaling issue appears fixed, no CTD and I tentatively have started to reintroduced selected liveries - a common cause of CTD.

I agree - perfomancewise MSFS improved a lot with latest update. Before, I could hear the GPU fans of my 2080 8 GB graphics card fighting against its temperatures around 82C - now, they are stable around 55C. An incredible job by Asobo!

Yesterday I flew over Manhattan.

Incredible improvement regarding the photogrammetry. Evrthing crisp and sharp, textrures and shapes alike, no popping in.

Also a 1 hour flight in the DC6 was flawless.

Will check other PG cities, and mountain ranges later. I haven't checked DEM popping yet. I hope that improved as well.

Overall very happy.

No DC3 without the DC2

Had my first CTD last night with the WT CJ4 after about 1 to 1.5 hours of flight. Going to try it again today without that add-on.

I just turn my speakers up and the noise of the fans go away.

Seriously though, I found my RTX3070 is running much cooler now too. I can use Nvidia Experience to optimise it in power settings now (didn't know about that until recently).

I have found my CPU getting a bit hotter since the updates, but limiting the framerates to  30 seems to have helped.

How can anyone complain of graphics with this sim? The other options are XP11 and P3d which look awful.

I don't think anybody has complained about the actual graphic elements- the complaints are about blurriness, short plotting distance of autogen and trees, green roads, over saturation or washed out look.

I agree the base graphics in P3d and XP11 are poor.  However, just $20 will give Xplane good landclass and placement of autogen.  Buy an Orbx area and it will look close to MSFS.  My preference is MSFS, but I feel your blanket statement is wrong.

Just flew that plane for about 6 hrs from Miami to Brazil on unlimited fuel. No issues

I'm now experiencing smoothness I was dreaming about for 20 years of simming. Till now whenever I got a computer that was able to run the sim somehow smooth, new version of the sim was released and back to low FPS stutterfest. I'm really happy with MSFS!

I had a cockpit livery enabled. Retesting without it now.

Also, not seeing ai lights now. Definitely saw them right after updating yesterday. Plus, the smoothness of the sim is the best i have seen.
