It is great you have no issues. For me I have not been able to use MSFS since the update.  My XBOX App refuses to connect to the Internet.  I spent 8 hours yesterday reading guides, browsing forums and trying god knows how many fixes.

I even wasted £80 buying the Steam version, but that requires the Xbox app for sign in. It has always worked for me in the past, but I really don't need someone to tell me it just takes two minutes when I have not been able to use MSFS for 24 hours.

Do you get any kind of error from the Xbox app and do you use any kind of firewall (hardware or software) ?

MSFS updates adds another layer of excitement to the process of updating the sim- will it work or will it not? Will it download quick or will it be slow? 

And then when you see that update bar in the store pop up and moving, you know you're good to go - aah heaven! 

You steam guys sure are missing out! 😂

No error at all.  I have seen advice to log out off the ap then log back in, but as it doesn't recognise the Internet is working, I can't log in to start with.

I just use Windows defender. I have turned that off but the Xbox app still does not recognise the Internet is working fine.  This first happened about 4 hours before the update was released.

Hi,

did you manually modify UserConf.opt File? This contains the package installation path. If you messed it, the installation may have prompted to a incorrect path during ingame update (checking for updates)…

Second that! I am on Steam and really I feel sorry for those with MS Store. Since the release of MSFS, Steam has been extremely smooth and highly recommended!

Why do you need to restart your PC before you go to the store? it seems odd to me, on Steam I start the game as usual and the updates start automatic when they are available, I only have to confirm with as mouse click that I like to start the update, it can not be easier than that.

I think the issues most are having has to be server issues. I remember last update, I updated late in the evening. I just started up tht windows store and away it went. Then this update when I'm trying to do it when everyone is also trying to update and the servers get bogged down, it saw the update but it just sat there for a while before it started downloading

I have fifa, forza and a few more games from the Xbox store and never had a problem updating or installing. Seems like msfs is the issue because of its popularity so the servers might get hammered

I think you are right, server issues are the only explanation, if I had the MS version I would have to wait to update for a couple of hours to avoid this mess.

Sorry, can't understand i never had ( since MSFS came to the market at August 2020 )

a single problem with downloading a update for MSFS never, shure i had slow Downloads more often because of the Server overload

but this is i would say more normal and not  a real problem at all..

I installed every sim update and world update, including yesterday's hotfix without encountering a problem. 

IMHO, the update process is dead simple.
