You cannot install the msfs2024 ‚using the same filename’. And do not try to copy/paste anything from msfs2020 apart from the custom folder, it will not work.

It is available in the 2024 marketplace now. Bonus: On purchase is included the MSFS 2020 version of the item. Unfortunately, it is not usable in career mode.

Same here. I had blurry textures first day, saw this unknown, new option and switched it off. Solved. I can’t understand why they did not deactivate this immediately after release when the first issues were reported. The team must be really stunned at the moment dealing within issues at all fronts.

This might be correct if we could have any trust in its current implementation. Whatever helps is more than appreciated. I did both some time back and had positive results. .

Not sure what you are blabbering. The weather has greatly improved in recent days. Spot on here in Europe. There are many thick cloud layers, dense overcast, fog, rain, snow. Maybe no lightning at the moment but all in all a huge step forward. It seems they are working on it right now, and I am sure they continue with further fine tuning.

Not sure why anyone here should not support MSFS2024. If it fails, the franchise is dead again. At least for some of you I would not feel sorry for a second.

It seems the download of some content is still mot actvated or does not work. At least Aircrafts are not downloaded but always streamed. i hope this will change soon.

Day 1: MSFS 2024 download time: 1-16 hours 5% at AVSIM cannot login 10% at AVSIM are reporting immediate crashes on main screen PMDG is reporting incompatibilities, addressing that there is no feedback from Asobo since weeks. Update unlikely until end of the year. Fenix is reporting an update within the next 24 hours. This is a hotfix not the 2024 version, that will take 4 more weeks and will come for free. 50% of the screenshots at AVSIM will be gorgeous, 50% with spikes and other artifacts. love it…

Day 1 purchase for sure. I am really thrilled on the MS/Asobo ambitions and I can live with the expected trouble in the first months. I expect the overall product / UI to be more polished. For example how aircrafts are presented. The hangar is totally disconnected from the rest. With wear and tear, individual profiles and such, a specific plane becomes more unique and relevant. I might be disappointed with the career modes. I think this an excellent direction and I have big hope that this will be a significant feature rich experience. if this is done right, it could be really a game changer and get flight simulation out of its niche. I do not expect much from flight model, weather, ATC and such. If there would be significant improvements, we would already know.

Same feeling here. And we even do not know if msfs2024 will see a major overhaul. I would exchange all 18 world updates for a full fledge communication system covering VFR, IFR and AI Traffic and OCC

I mostly continue from where i landed. In World Map you can select the previous destination and then flip the Route, so the desitination becomes the departure Airport.
