Seems fairly obvious what the issue is then?

Yup. Still pondering if the hassle of merging the Windows with the adjacent NTFS storage partition is worth it though.

After a bit of partition shuffling, I've upgraded to 11 yesterday. The process was trouble-free and surprisingly quick. And so far, the experience is totally okay, with all settings, programs and documents carried over from 10. No issues with gaming (Far Cry 6). Drawbacks are that I had to take the machete to the annoying app jungle in the start menu, that there is no quick automatic login anymore (only PIN or password) and that windows are force-grouped in the task bar by default with no way to ungroup them as in 10.

Yep, same here - will not return to Win 10...

Both MSFS and P3D worked beautifully in DX 12. Looking forward for XP12 to try in Win 11.

Not sure why one would want to install Windows on that thing outside of "Let's see if it'll work".

Is this forced grouping of taskbar icons in 11 and the extremely dumbed down context menu in the Explorer in 11 ever going away?

Whoever is responsible for that should be fired on the spot.
