What about the more important thing: aeordynamics?

When the Asobo is going to deliver us a decent flight physics, especially the behavior of planes with crosswind conditions during the takeoff run?

Because this behavior becomes an offense to the user...

PMDG and Fenix are out there wanting to deliver something real and are bumping into something bizarre that hasn't even been improved in over a year of release...

They talked about both ground handling and the transition into the air several times in the Q&A.  It will be addressed in the next few updates.

Apart from that, MSFS already has very solid flight dynamics which will even be further enhanced with the next update for Reno Air Race capabilities

All of this is going to be in SU6?

The ground roll transition to flying will have a temporary fix in SU6 to improve the jolt that happens now and a more involved (but more robust) solution will come in a future update.

Other improvements including wake effects from nearby aircraft and improvements to induced yaw is supposed to come in SU6.

It’s in the Q&A and notes if you want to read for yourself.

I don't want to be a downer, but we still will have the approach bug where you input an approach into the FMC and the plane turns around to the previous waypoint?

I know Twitch streamers usually enter the STAR before they've even started their engines, but most pilots don't.

Version 1 of wake effects I believe, this will be evolved over time so eventually we will get wake effects from AI and airliners etc.

Overall the SIM is moving in the right direction

Charade? Everyone involved with a game's development and testing must sign a NDA. It isn't something MS are doing specifically for this, to cover something up.

Yes, charade.

This bug is so annoying.

I usually enter a Direct to the first waypoint of the STAR, but sometimes the aircraft has already begun turning around..

This is the only major annoyance for me right now. Especially since i like to use the built in  ATC  to keep up the immersion ( Don't shoot me !!)  so even though i put in my desired Runway and approach in the box on the ground pre departure  If i get vectored to a different approach by ATC then i start sweating bullets to make sure the AC maintains course while i go back to the box to fiddle with it to change the runway and star find the new app/runway charts and change the perf page then find an appropriate direct to point and pray that once i switch back to managed mode the AC doesn't do something annoying and further increase my workload.

Before entering your STAR, switch to HDG mode, enter your STAR, => Direct to first waypoint of the STAR, done. It should not be like that, but for the moment that's what we have to do.

Yep, sounds like the best solution.

It is but ATC is prone to leave things a little late. Sometimes you have just past the entry point of the STAR you had initially. Then ATC comes with the "Hi, how y'all doing 😁?".. "How about y'all do this brand new approach and runway instead and land in the tailwind  for good measure?? 😝

AAAAH!!!

Hah, that's exactly right. And then they give you 4,000 feet in an area with 7,000 feet mountains, just to get you back up to 10,000 two minutes later.

... *Cancel IFR*...

Dont go there lol .. Did a flight from Greece to Sarajevo airport this past Saturday. In VERY inclement weather at night. Read up and observed the approach charts for Sarajevo and noted the high terrain. I also noted that the FBWNX had some convoluted approach that didnt quite make sense in such a confined space. I decided you know what ? let me see if its just me being overly cautious or the approach in the MCDU and ATC accounted for all that elevation around the airport  Needless to say the FBW approach and MS ATC lost and the Charts won. Didn't have much time to correct since the GPWS warning started late and the entire approach was in cloud at night.

Went straight into the mountainside following the milk of magenta. Glad this was a sim. Will have to redo this flight and carefully see where the approach got screwed up.. Sometimes the approaches seem to generate some unnecessary loops within the STAR in the MCDU. Seems to happen in Zurich as well.
