Performance?

I have about 5-7 fps worse performance with this patch, anyone else that have notice the same?

It's because there is currently a full moon. Change the date to a new moon and it's the same darkness as it was before.

Performance is smooth here (perhaps even a bit smoother than before). I did delete and recreate my rolling cache and restarted the PC after the install...

I haven’t downloaded the update or notice this in previous versions…But that’s pretty cool!

My performance loss probably has to do with the fact that lod distance is vastly improved in my area now.

Interesting.  How does it look with a full moon when flying below an overcast?

What do you mean "in my area"? It's a general setting and not something that adapts to certain areas. What is your terrain LOD setting?

Performance is down for me too. And more stutters.

And it's not because of the 400 LOD, I already had that in the UserCfg.opt file.

There was a bug that only draw trees to 5nm closer to the poles.

From the patch notes

"Optimized photogrammetry erase function by adding a quadratic approximation of earth curvature -Improved clipping issue with close trees close to poles by dynamically extending the LOD 14 draw distance"

Ah I understand, that makes sense now. Didn't know you were Santa Claus 😉
