This is fun.  Two big jets just buzzed the tower at Charlotte.🤪

That's because you are using offline. Using online real time traffic that doesn't happen.

Use the settings you have if you are happy with them, ST does nothing but change clothes on the default airliners.

Question about this, I assume we're discussing Simple Traffic here: if you select online real time traffic, do you or can you get static GA aircraft parked at the smaller airports?

I'm enjoying the debate and all of the info you guys are providing. I thank you all...

Yes, you get GA if you don't set Ground Aircraft Density to zero. But you will also get some random airliners that shouldn't be there. Can't have all for now. I'm using Online Real Time with Ground Aircraft Density set to 20 or 30. That way I get GA and don't get empty airports, but I also get some airlines that shouldn't be there.

And by using Online real time I don't get planes buzzing towers, approaching at 2000ft, landing in wrong runways, etc, like I do if I use offline traffic.

Do you get any aircraft taking off using Real Time online ?

Nope. That needs to be fixed by Asobo.

Yeah, I like to see take offs, so I am going to stick with Off Line AI

See Simple Traffic as a program that paints your default airliners in nice costumes and use the same settings you are happy with today.

I prefer to see planes approaching at correct altitudes and landing in the right runways and not see any takeoffs, than have planes approaching from 30 miles at 2000ft, buzzing towers and landing on wrong runways, but to each their own.

Amen to that, there is no need to put any energy into AI until Asobo comes up with a major fix.
