FlyByWire Simulations | A32NX | DX12

Featured Replies

Hi there,

We have identified issues with Sim Update 7 and the A32NX with relation to flight planning and DX12.

We recommend trying our experimental version temporarily and remain with DX11 when flying our aircraft.

Please see our reported issues page for more information.

You will not be able to remove discontinuity after MANUAL legs. This is how it works IRL.

The procedure at a MANUAL leg is to get vectors from ATC and manually sequence using DIRECT TO.

We have published a fix for our development version to resolve flight planning issues which came with Sim Update 7. We apologise for the inconvenience as this slipped through our testing process. We will amend our methodology to catch more issues like this in the future before updates roll out.

Use of DirectX11 is still recommended for best performance due to an issue with some glass cockpit technologies in the DX12 version of the simulator. This is not an FBW issue and we cannot address it for now - please keep in mind DX12 is officially a “beta feature” and thus should not be used unless you know what you are doing.

For stable version: v0.7.3 is being prepared and will be released later.

Thanks much .. Kinda wary of experimental glad my preferred version got fixed !

Tried the experimental version and performance was absolutely terrible. A big stutterting mess. Other planes don't have this. I will try the dev version now.

Thanks for keeping us updated btw. And thanks for an awesome plane. Hopefully the first SU7 bugs will be solved quickly...

UPDATE
The dev version works perfectly! Simbrief integtration works, everything works as it did before! Performance is good too (although I do get a big stutter every minute or so but I also get that in the C172 since the update...)

Thank you very much for posting this,

No need to apologize though. If only Asobo were as thorough when it came to testing their products !!!

I fully agree on this...exactly my experience. Dev build is better in performance.....less or almost no stutter.....

Great work guys.....looking forward to see VNAV.....RNAV approaches....Saving latest Navigraph Charts when switching between tabs in the efb....and back to charts again.....would be really great....

I have been on the Experimental version for a while now, does the Dev version now include the improved LNAV that Experimental version has?

The dev version works fine, Simbrief integtration works, however it's impossibe to get MSFS ATC to see the plan and ask for clearance. MSFS ATC isn't perfect but it's nice to have it anyway. I hope this will get fixed soon!

EDIT
Also when I load the Simbrief plan in the flight setup menu (so it is loaded in the MCDU as soon as you enter the cockpit) the plan isn't seen by ATC. Well... you can ask for clearance but after that ATC is gone.

I have installed DEV and Experimental, but it doen't load into the sim. I am able to select it on the menu but cannot load it into the sim. Why is that?!

This has been solved by uninstalling and reinstalling Navigraph.

When I raise the spoilers, I don't see the spoilers raised on the wings when I switch to the wing view.  I can see the spoilers are up in the MFD though (err, not sure if it's the MFD but it's one of the monitors in front).  But it doesn't show the spoilers are up when I go to the wing view.

Hm, I don't know what has happend, but since yesterday evening I can not use the FBW A320 furthermore. I am on DX11 and Developer Version. On yesterday noon I made a flight in Europe without problems. Then I have switched to the Experimental Version. On yesterday evening I wanted to make a flight from Queenstown to Auckland - everyting was fine till takeoff. Immediatelly after the takeoff performance got extremely worse, and I have got a slideshow - it was impossible to continue the flight. So I have switched back to the Developer Version which worked perfectly on yesterday noon, but the same problem occured.

Today I tried the same flight again - still the same problem. Everything was fine till takeoff.

Then I have updated the Developer Version and afterwards I have tried the same flight again. Now everything worked fine, but after about 10 minutes the same problem occured - extremely bad performance.

What could be the problem?

There are to options I am thinking about:

1. Complete reinstallion of the FBW A320
2. Test another route
