Public beta for SU7 hotfix is out

Featured Replies

And Microsoft/Asobo has dedicated a forum just to discuss the public beta for this:

https://forums.flightsimulator.com/c/decupdateflight/295

This is interesting, maybe all future public/opt-in betas will be like this.

Edit: This is not an official update for MSFS.  Downloading it can cause more problems/grief for you, especially if you aren't a technical person.  This is just a beta test for a possible hotfix, so Microsoft/Asobo can get feedback from the community on the hotfix.  If you aren't a technical person, you may want to wait for the official update, which should be released at a later date, after this beta test has concluded.

One of the MSFS forum mods said the beta is live for the public though?  Here is the quote from the mod:

Topic closed now that the Beta is live to the Public. There will be a separate thread for Beta Testers to review and join.

And yes, it past 4 PM UTC time already.

Hmm... How to get this update? I have nothing in Store and the sim says nothing when I start it. I have restarted my computer. Every update so far has been very straight forward for me....

It's not an update, it's a public beta.

Mandatory update is about 700 mb

I had another 2.4 gig in Content Manager after the update.

Ryzen 7 5800 x3D, Asus Tuf Gaming X570 Plus, Geforce GTX 4080 F.E., 32GB Corsair PC-3600, 1TB Samsung Evo 970 nVME SSD, 1TB Samsung Evo 870 SSD, 500GB Samsung Evo 870 SSD

Never done this before. Does this mess up my existing installation, or does it install normally like other updates?

Yup, then it's another 2, 38 gig update in the content manager.

This is the public update, which you don't have to join in, because you may have to reinstall the sim later on when the beta is finished, yes?
