I think if you paricipate in any beta you first have to prove that you're qualified. I have the feeling most people join a beta because they are curious (no problem with that but it is not what beta's are ment for)

They did not release a fix, the released a test fix or beta.

Well just based on add-on ownership alone I am qualified. They all work so far no show stopping issues, and any very minor ones I have reported to the dev's. To me with this beta it is a different sim to the one I was about delete, The weather is better too.. Not always, it looks better, feel better. Now this could all be the drivers as I could not use the new official Drivers on the Official MSFS Build. But either way, It is now amazing to me..maybe not for everyone, but the the the the stutters are gone.

That's not what "release" means.... smh!

When it comes out of testing - which includes the alpha and beta stages, hence why those stages have names....and goes to the public, then it's released.  Capice?

What he's saying is there's a version out there for people who do not want to deal with these issues. People are afraid of potentially having to reinstall the sim after but MS has given guidance on how to avoid that. I agree with him. People can put their energy into joining the beta and having a better experience instead of just complaining. They could even help us make the release even better while they're at it.

Yeah, this, but, hey, let's start a handbag fight over words - I'm sure a lot of folks understand what I meant.

When I woke up this morning and looked out of the window, there was a thick layer of frost on the trees and roofs, at first glance it almost looked like snow. I decided to fire up the sim and take the a320 for a flight from LFSB Basel to LFKJ Ajaccio. When I spawned in the flight deck, to my delight, the windows were already partially covered with a thin layer of ice. This was the first time this had happened since they had toned down the icing. Not only was the frost accurate, but so was the weather in general. The lighting, the clouds - it just looked gorgeous. It was such a satisfying flight that it needed a worthy finale, so I opted for the spectacular visual circling approach into runway 20. It worked out beautifully. What a nice way to start a day off. It's moments like this that make me forget all the shortcomings and the occasional frustration. And it's moments like this that make me realise that there is simply no alternative to MSFS for me at the moment.

Wish they officially released what they have now so we all can join in the fun.  Looks like the beta is pretty stable now with many major bugs fixed.  Would have been a nice Christmas present.  That being said there's most likely a good reason Asobo held off.  Something in the sim is still not right and they need more time to address it.

Yes, it‘s pretty stable. The only issues I encountered are:

- CDT when going back the the menu and trying to load another flight plan

- CDT when trying to save a recorded replay in VR (I haven‘t tried in pancake mode)

But I don‘t know if these issues are specific to the Beta or general problems.

Regarding weather, that’s not always that great either. In one case the transition between local weather and that of the surrounding area looked weird/too abrupt (that was in Venice). In Copenhagen I once had clouds on the ground. But all in all I‘m happy with it so far.

Only had 1 CTD since the very start of this Beta, and that was down to a freeware addon. Pretty stable here now. Weather and clouds are stunning.

I had a CTD with the beta today when working to add waypoints into the flight plan window.  First CTD since SU7.  I keep my community folder as empty as possible, positioning only those addons specifically needed for the current flight.  My CTD by the way came after today's small update (Tues 12/21).  It was during my second flight of the day.  I routinely quit MSFS and reboot my system between each flight and did so today.
