Any update on the SU7 Hotfix?

Featured Replies

Hotfix and BETA,  we've got a new feature with no BETA for it and it's broken, then we've got a "hotfix" to fix it but still on BETA, so the fix is not "hot" and we actually flying on BETA but not called BETA and waiting a "coldfix" BETA.

Hot or not, fixed or not, just release it, it's all BETA whatever.😄

It's kind of hard to argue with this 😆

Maybe that is their new protocol. They release a hotfix as a beta, encourage anyone that wants to see some fixes to MSFS to get the beta, and that is the end of it. This way if anyone complains about something not being fixed, they can just say " Hey,  It's only a beta"....

What are the changes that they are saying are in this "hot fix"?  Is it worth it to give it a try or wait until it is officially released?  I currently don't have any issues outside of some stuttering and pixelated clouds but was wondering if this hot fix makes any improvements.

Maybe it's really time to jump in on the beta.

Haven't we been beta testing this sim for more than a year now?. I feel a bit tired already 😆

On my end the pixelated clouds are gone. But the problem is... I installed the beta and the newest Nvidia drivers at the same time, so I don't know which one did the trick.

Yeah that's right. I meant to jump in on the beta of the patch of the beta 😄

Laminar Research customer -- Asobo/MS customer -- not an X-Aviation customer - or am I? 😉

What is the latest driver and are there any known issues with it?

I disagree. We can’t give Asobo grief for not properly testing updates, and then demand that they just release updates.

If it takes a week or 2 or 3 or however long for them to properly test and validate their code, then that’s how long it takes.

But then the expectations should be that regression bugs aren’t a common and unavoidable part of every update.

LOL, that's brilliant and may be not far from the truth.

No, sorry buddy but perhaps you missed the point and instead took what I wrote seriously. I was laughing along with him at the convoluted logic he was using because as ridiculous as it was it was also, sort of correct. In a fashion. His post was humorous and indeed, kinda hard to argue against regardless of your postion. It was a little bit of levity.

Lesson learned.  Change one thing at a time.
