December 20, 20214 yr I joined the beta and to be very honest MSFS has never been so good. I have a decent PC and a 3090 I can now play again at 4K Ultra all sliders maxed, no stutters, no lag. FPS is solid. I lock to 30fps, I just dont need more for a flight sim. I am using the latest NVIDIA driver, HAGS off!! I have done many flights in the FBW A320 Dev version and the new SWS Quest, not a single CTD or Blue/purple square. I have tons of Pay Ware, nearly every OrbX / Contrail add-on and all the planes... aside from the trash like VirtuCol and it is all behaving amazing. Prior to joining the beta, I was about the bin the sim, I was losing the will to continue with it, terrible FPS etc. So i joined the beta with the mind frame that if it goes south so what, I am deleting it anyway....Well how surprised I was, its back to pre SU5 for me, and it runs amazing... so much so I bought another 5 Add-ons since. I have a perfect running sim since december last year, except for the bugs ofcourse. Why should I risk installing a beta and have problems afterwards? They should release a fix and dont trust on people installing a work around and shut up because of that?? Now they're collecting feedback from users. I think if you paricipate in any beta you first have to prove that you're qualified. I have the feeling most people join a beta because they are curious (no problem with that but it is not what beta's are ment for) They did not release a fix, the released a test fix or beta.
