I believe the new drivers are specifically to address the release of the new 3080 12Gb?

They released one previously for only the 3080 12GB, but this one is for all the cards. Apparently there are some fixes and stuff in it since the last driver.

AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S

Some folks like to keep fixing it till it breaks.

Nvidia release driver updates for games other than MSFS, and hardware other than what is in your personal PC - what a shocker!

CPU Ryzen 7800X 3D  RAM 32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 6000MHz GPU GEFORCE RTX 4090
Monitor AOC AGON AG352UCG UltraWide G-Sync @ 3440x1440
Internal Storage 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD
External Storage Three 4Tb HDs

I got exactly .023 more FPS with this driver!!!

Yep, the driver they kept back so reviewers like hardware unboxed would be unable to get day 1 reviews out🙄🤔

I keep getting pixelation on the top and was going to roll back drivers today.  Looks like I'll try this one first to see if it fixes it

I've been having that for the last 2-3 drivers. I think it started with a MSFS update, not drivers.

It's completely random. I've gone 2 weeks without it happening, but also has it come back in only a couple hours.

Some people have suggested turning off TAA.

Has anyone tried DLDSR? How much FPS gain?

I'll wait the standard driver type (not DCH)

Only for RTX series. They have Tensor (AI) cores

Michael, is it worth upgrading to this version then? I also have got a GTX 1080, currently using NVidia's 497.29 driver.

I got stutters with the 511.23 reverting back to 497.29

Good question. I usually prefer recent drivers, but wait a few days to see if reports on something odd surface (which happens now and then, notably under VR).

Just for our edification, has there ever been a driver update that significantly improved flight sim performance for any video cards except the most recent? I've seen all sorts of reports of one thing or another going wrong, but has anything ever gone really, really right?

Cheers.
