IMO, WU7 is a smashing success.

This is the second update where I was able to update stuff in Content manager only in Safe mode. In normal mode the sim would just close itself when trying to update. I took all the usual precautions (empty Community folder etc). Anybody else with the same issue?

This is how it looks in MSFS WU7 and freeware YLMQ available at flightsim.to

Looks like it needs an update.

YPEC Aeropelican and YHBA (Hervey Bay) have not been pimped out in the update. The first thing I checked as they were my favorites with Alice Springs in P3D+Orbx. Weird as they were quite popular I think.

YPEC for FSX is what motivated me to order that expensive ORBX AU CD. 😀

I hope that they consider updating YPEC & YCNK.

Friendly reminder that if you’ve made edits to prevent ATC from continuously telling AI to expedite their climbs/descents you’ll need to to do it again after updating.  My flight last night from YSHL-YBTH was beautiful but noisy on the radios 🙂

The Mount Panorama race track near YBTH looks pretty cool I’ll add.  Somehow looks even steeper in areas from the sky than from the track.

If you ever find a way of preventing ATC to tell ME to expedite MY climbs/descents, please let me know! It's one of the main reasons I (almost) stopped using ATC. Can't stand that constant nagging about different altitudes even though I am flying the planned one.

Having lived for 20 odd years down under and visited most of the locations in the promo video, I can't wait to test this out!

Question for you lot who tested this already, does it knock out the ORBX Sydney scenery? And if it doesn't, does this update do Sydney better??

Have a look at this post and scroll down to the post by @JimBrown that explains how to remove those commands from ATC’s vocabulary:

Interesting. What file needs editing? Thanks.

Thanks for the link.

I don't know about a permanent solution, but for now I just change over to flight- following and all is quiet. When I get close to my TOD I reactivate my IFR plan.

I have not tried the mod.

Have you experience the loss of ATC chatter bug while testing?

The file to edit is en-US.locPak.  I haven’t tried the European phraseology mod I just edit the file myself.  I do occasionally get the loss of ATC bug on longer flights but on my typical ~1 hour flights I’ve not had any issues.  I’m not even 100% sure I didn’t have the ATC stopping bug before making this modification.  On balance I’ll take the occasional loss of ATC over the annoyance of repetitively hearing instructions to expedite climb/descent but hopefully this will get properly fixed at some point.
