February 11, 20224 yr Hi all who are on the SU8 beta. Could you please share the first impressions about SU8?. Bugs fixed, performance improvements, etc.? I've been reading that some mods are conflicting with SU8, but so far haven't seen any thing regarding solved bugs or improvements?. February 11, 20224 yr Seems fine to me. Perfectly stable. Not sure I can detect much difference. Maybe a few extra fps but that's probably placebo. I doubt any of the plane enhancement mods like the TBM and Caravan mods will work with it but I have not tried yet with any of them installed.
February 11, 20224 yr Same, happy. Have to say that I am easy to please with what MS delivered in general in form of MSFS, hence I am very forgiving if and as long as the sim runs stable, smooth at high/ultra mix with my preferred aircraft, being as of today the FBW, CRJ and Twotter. All tick marked (except the Twotter, is said to work but did not check myself yet). So yes, for me great! EDIT the Twotter also works Edited February 11, 20224 yr by DAD Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"
February 11, 20224 yr Weather has improved, the PMS GTN750 and GNS530 didn't work but were fixed within 24 hours. there was an fps hit with stutters but a workaround was found within hours. February 11, 20224 yr Stable and perfectly fine for me too (not a VR or Tracking tool user though). If I had to choose a single reason why I strongly recommend installing it, here it is:Lower GPU consumption when the main window is minimized. February 11, 20224 yr When I first installed SU8 I had very bad stuttering, re-installed 1.22.2.0 all fine, installed 1.23.9.0 again, still had stuttering. Had a brainwave and switched on DX12! Fantastic, smooth as silk, seems like they have tweaked it somewhat. I also have Game Mode and HAGS turned on. I will be working my way through the mods. EDIT: FBW A32NX Experimental and all FS2Crew work fine. EDIT: FBW A32NX Experimental and all FS2Crew work fine. I would love to start to migrate to DX12, but unfortunately I have a few third part aircraft that aren't compatible, or at least they weren't - maybe I will test them all again as there may be some differences with the beta that they have attended to regarding DX12 compatibility. February 11, 20224 yr the vegetation slider is not there (yet) but it was already noted as bug in the official SU8 beta forum they implemented a tree height slider instead // jk Phil Leaven i5 10600KF, 32 GB 3200 RAM, ASUS 4070 12GB EVO, Asus ROG Z490-H, 2 WD Black NVME for each Win11 (500GB) and MSFS (1TB), Rolling Cache 16GB, Photogrammetry always OFF, Live Weather and Live Traffic always ON, Res 2560x1440 on 27"

More contrast. It'll take a bit of getting used too. Edited February 11, 20224 yr by jarmstro
