You have to download the AS AP. It's similar to ORBX.

You log into your account and your addons will be there and available to download.

Here's the link:

If you are happy, keep it the way it is. Mine has not worked properly since the server went back up. I tried the AIG TC again today with a clean install and at DFW, I only saw AA liveries.

To be sure, I am only talking about the Traffic Controller - I am using the same one I installed about 3 months ago.  At that same time I also installed the Manager and got about 15 airlines installed.  Since that time I have not opened the Manager as it may force an update (not sure, but I am not touching it again).  Right now things with the TC seem fine to me.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Great!

What version are you using?

Wow! What a pain.

It’s actually not so bad. And it is once off. You then have the best AI traffic in your sim. I used that video and paused after each step and it was quick and easy. It is several steps but each step is simple. Just takes a while to download the liveries but that is super easy.

It will definitely force an update if you open either Traffic Controller or the AI Manager. It has been getting updated fairly often recently. Unlike Asobo’s updates, these updates are good though, no need to worry.

Guys - this sums it up.  If you’re capable & intelligent enough to fly & navigate with an aircraft, then you can surely figure out how to install & configure something such as AIG - Especially with all the great tutorials out there.  The question to ask is ‘how much time do you want to spend’ setting it up.  I’ve used AIG in P3D for years, and its a fine way to achieve realworld traffic.  But you’re going to invest time & effort getting it set up.  Payware competitors such as AS simple offer a much easier & quicker path.  I agree the models are better in AIG.  It all comes down to a decision of time (& money) invested.

Yep, I don't care for that change from AIG. Before the server issues if you wanted an update to either AIGM or AIGTC it was under your decision. The version out after the server issues were fixed now autoupdate whether you want that or not.

When I start TC, in the lower left corner (while it is starting in the first minute or so) I see 0.5.0.24.  I assume this is the build, I do not recall being prompted to update any time recenlty (last several months at least).  I hope this is what you are looking for.

Since AIG had there server issue they have made some changes and you have download and install again AIG- Manager and AIG-TC from their new server. Once that's done it will auto update to 0.31.

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

And alas, that is what I am saying.  I have little interest in downloading and reinstalling both of these again.  The first time setting this up was a long and detailed process - not to interested in doing it again.  So, The TC that I am currently using seems to work OK and, again, has not forced me to update from the version I have posted.  I am not opening the Manager again.

If it was a simple extract, copy paste into the old directories - possibly.  But I fear this will overwrite all the settings and, god forbid, force a reinstall of the airline packages.

I'm installing it for the first time now. I decided to go the "EVERY AIRLINE THAT EXISTS" route and I think I'm maybe 5 hours in and I'm only up to Citilink airways. It's going to be a looong download. 🤣

But to the OP, it was not a difficult process at all, and I sort of wish I had bit the bullet earlier.

No worries, AI Manager and traffic controller has updated several times on my system and none of my settings have changed or AI stop working. I like the fact it updates the new AI models and I don't have to. I'll admit my first install took all weekend, but it was well worth it to get real time traffic and liveries for free. But like the other posters said, it's up to you how much time you're willing to invest.

Understood, it is not the updates that concern me, both of these applications updated themselves many time - no problem.  My concern is the new 'reinstall' needed after they moved their server.

With all due respect, I'm not sure what the issue is. I have downloaded the Manager and TC a couple of times now and set them both up in a few minutes.  No reinstall of liveries required.

But in case it is 'triggered' I realise that downloading an enormous amount of liveries can be time consuming but surely you would plan to start this when you plan to be away from your computer anyway?

I can understand your reticence at not wanting to do something twice especially when something you have now works fine. So for you, not updating is a solution. For others I would say keeping your software updated especially when it is being continually developed and new features being added, while sometimes fraught, in most cases is beneficial in the long run. While I hope the auto updates will be our saviour, I doubt this will be the last time we have to re-install AIM Mgr and TC if we want the very latest and greatest version. Which I do !!!

AIG is still in beta. Since SU8 AIG causes strange in cockpit noises for me. Traffic Controller also has a habit of randomly crashing out. There are the considerably longer loading times to consider both with the sim and firing up the AI traffic. Also, there are no GA planes either static or AI so smaller airfields look barren.

I'm back using Simple Traffic for now. Just Flights traffic mod has sadly been pushed back to May.
