How to get real Airline liveries in FS2020

Featured Replies

Hi, I'm looking for realistic airline markings for FS2020 that are easily installed and won't mess up the Sim

I don't have any add-ons in the sim and I'm not sure how to do it at this time.

Also airport signage on hangers and terminals are wrong.

I don't want to mess up the sim though, as I am not a computer genius.

Thanks

You have two good options:

Aerosoft Simple Traffic is a low priced one click to install. It gives you real liveries for a large number of airlines. It is a basic package that only changes the liveries on existing MSFS aircraft. They still look ugly with those pointed noses.

AIG - Totally FREE and better by miles BUT it does have a slightly more complicated initial set up. There are easy step by step video tutorials on how to set it up though. You get far more accurate aircraft and a much greater variety.

I have both and I’m only using AIG now. It adds so much to the sim.

Yea but the default models look SO bad...

Yea, and the AIG models look so good and really don’t seem to hit FPS. Plus, with AIG you get so many more aircraft types, not just those fugly default things, whatever they are.😁 For that reason alone, the more complicated AIG is worth it. Just a bonus that it is free too!

I disagree. They do not look as good as AIG, but they are not that bad that they spoil my joy of seeing real airline liveries parked at the airports.

Good example is at these three airports:

You will probably spend hours downloading liveries to get all the airline fps and the airports still might not look full of airliners.

The OP asked for simple, not a complex and time consuming process. Either way, he has the option.

And you don't have to twist yourself into a pretzel installing Simple Traffic.

Simple traffic while easy to install is still fake aircraft types wearing real liveries. It's lipstick on a pig. I couldn't do that to my sim.

AIG, PSXT, RealTraffic (subscription) gives you real liveries (if you decide to download them) and real traffic like you see it on Flightradar24 or Radarbox with a few seconds delay.

Best traffic add(s) on I have ever used....

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

$90 a year.  No thanks.

Another option is LatinVFR's Static Aircraft addon.  This will put the proper airlines/liveries at proper gates for over 400 airports.  This will at least give your airport some life even though they won't be leaving the gate.  The static models and paints look great with no FPS impact, The MSFS default AI traffic system is just too messed up to even put effort into getting proper liveries on AI aircraft IMO.  If you insist on using AI, I can only recommend the free  AIG traffic addon but it won't be as simple.  It is a great program though and I used it for years with P3D.  Look forward to the AI system improving at some point so I can go back to using it.

No kidding lol, but for someone that is not computer literate they should surely use Simple Traffic.
