March 5, 20224 yr No issues here. I assume you already removed the contents of the Community folder to rule out an issue there? March 6, 20224 yr I've had constant CTDs for the last 2 major updates. I've been unable to fly for months. I've reinstalled multiple times with no add-ons. ------------------------- Craig from KBUF
March 6, 20224 yr Mine regularly CTD's on final leg if I dare touch any button on the AP, like when I want to disarm AP, seems to disarm everything and CTD

I know the WT guys strongly advise against using any bindings to control master AP engagement/disengagement. Just a thought. OP, as Vic stated, more info is needed to help. March 6, 20224 yr Double-check your Content Manager for any more updates. I had 28 items not updated during latest update. Worked fine afterwards. jime James D. Edwards
March 6, 20224 yr if it is always ctd and you dont have addons installed it is likely a hardware problem but some more info would help. could be a timing issue with your ram or drviers etc. Flightsim rig: CPU: AMD 5900x | Mobo: MSI X570 MEG Unify | RAM: 32GB G.Skill Trident Z Neo | GPU: Gigabyte RTX 3090 | Storage: M.2 (2 & 4 TB) | PSU: Corsair RM850x | Case: Fractal Define 7 XL Display: Acer Predator x34 3440x1440 | Speakers: Logitech Z906 Controllers: Fulcrum One Yoke | MFG Crosswind v2 pedals | Honeycomb Bravo Quadrant |Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant | Stream Deck XL & Plus | TrackIR 5 Tobii eye tracking
March 6, 20224 yr I've had a real problem with a completely different type of crash since the last update - half blue screen with the typical QR code, the rest scrambled lines colour on a black background. After a huge number of tests, I finally found it was the AIG AI traffic add-on. Once removed everything magically returned to normal! UPDATE - my crashes were frequent but intermittent, sometimes causing 6-8 crashes before I could get the simulator to run. I have discovered that the latest version of Nortons has been the cause all along. I uninstalled the Nortons apps and hey presto, the simulator runs perfectly on first attempt. Phew - but what a lot of wasted time getting to the bottom of it. Relying on Windows Defender until Nortons get their act together - apparently it does the same to other games as well. If you are still having similar problems, and use Nortons, an uninstall might be worth checking out. March 16, 20224 yr Remove everything from your community folder AND the official folder (i.e. anything you bought on the marketplace), and start from there. There is no other way, when I had CTDs it was some mod in 9/10 cases, even the most unlikely ones (e.g. Toolbar Pushback or some livery). For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.
March 16, 20224 yr Did all of that - crashes continued. Professional testing proved it was Norton. Remove Norton (completely uninstall), and I had an immediate solution. Bleedingly obvious. March 18, 20224 yr While Norton would want you to believe otherwise, Windows Defender is a very capable antivirus. Not only that, there's no added cost of getting it and it's running on most developers machines so problems are much fewer than other antivirus software. James
