just shows how nervous we have become that we can not even tolerate to be corrected/educated anymore, something we expect from children with no questions asked on a daily basis. it was just a little funny correction from the English language Society and boom! we feel our pride is in danger. let's draw our swords! from now on in all forums/fora, let's all speak in binary hex machine language and any mistakes will automatically result in CTD. 😊

And my oh my how it crosses over into real life these days too.

Ad hominem. Struck a nerve? You must be really fun at parties. Its a flight simulation forum. I am not writing a formal paper so using that phrase is perfectly acceptable in an informal setting. There is plenty of criticism to be shared around any forum and since you solely pointed me out I am assuming you didn't like what I said. Instead of discussing my thoughts and ideas, you instead attack something else that isn't related to the topic.

No offense but he could have left it alone and stuck to the topic at hand. Unless he clearly didn't understand what the user intended to post. I wouldn't take kindly to a correction post like that either so oh well. For you it may be an innocent correction. For others it appears rude. We are on a forum interacting with people from different backgrounds and perspectives.

 

Regardless hopefully this 737 comes out soon enough so there can be something to actually discuss.

If a person says, “I couldn't care less” about something, it means that the amount of care and concern they have about something could not be any less, any lower. This makes sense. Therefore when someone says I could care less, it should mean the opposite, that they are concerned.

this is getting off topic, but i dont think they have stopped that. Some put it on their profile and some dont, at least i think thats correct.

You are right, I think. I was merely trying to write about PMDG and then someone goes out of their way to correct something petty....while completely disregarding everyone else's writing mistakes on here. Why? Most people seem to not care about proper writing on here.... And nobody bothers to point out about his ad hominem attack? Surely, an ad hominem on a forum is far more annoying than a persons writing. It is amazing how adults can immediately go into "Ackchyually" mode over something so small. Big picture. here. Good luck correcting the several thousands of grammar throughout all the forums, I guess.
