You were advised a few times to reduce your speed bellow 10k feet. People were complaining about the noise, and my cup of coffee splashed due to the wake, so, we had to CTD-ya... 🙂 Flying gliders since 1980 Flightsimming since 1992 AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

After it has installed the base update, you can start MSFS and it will tell you there is additional content. Same with the MS Store. Since release i have only once found the install weird. and that one time was when they required the additional xbox app.. Never used that app again after that. for me its Update released ? Yes Go directly to the MS store.. select apps .. hit the update button. It will usually show an update for the sim. In the rare occasion it does not i reboot the system and try again. Once the MS store application is updated .. start the sim then it will update the core stuff.. The optional World update .. grab it from the marketplace and install that. The sim will also notify you via the content manager if additional stuff needs an update. I realize most are looking for a one click solution but meh .. This aspect is on the lowest rung of complaints i have about this sim. So why updates can't I be downloaded everytime from within the game as happens at all other games ? This ultra long and not user friendly update process reminds me of public services in bureaucracys:

They don't control how Microsoft distributes the software on their store. Also I'm guessing the reason the core World Update content is in the marketplace, is to keep the base sim size down, and also not force people to download stuff for places they don't fly. If someone mostly flies in North America, why would they want to download several gigs of landmarks/airports in an area they don't fly? Edited March 25, 20224 yr by Tuskin38

What I don't understand is if people have trouble figuring out how to download an update, how on earth are they going to fly a "study Level" aircraft? 😉

Four or five steps shouldn't be that difficult for people to get.

March 25, 20224 yr Update went very smooth for me, simply because I did not install the new update as I dont have those regions selected. The only item I saw was a simple 112k 'update' (I guess?) that took about literally 2 seconds. No problem, made a flight from Vegas to LA. CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro | GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K
