Hope is not a method.

As much as I don’t like carenados products I really enjoy the PC12. Do they offer discounts if you have other versions?

Nope.

I also find it odd that (so far) none of their MSFS releases have seen 3D updates. Carenado is a master of 3D modelling and textures, and yet here we still have an old-generation PC-12 with an Avidyne unit ... why not update to the NG PC-12?

Thought as much.  Thanks for confirming.

Much prefer the PC12-47 over the NG, we have a ton of glass cockpit planes in MSFS and the TBM930 moded is already a superb turboprop with glass cockpit to fly. Also Simworks is working on the NG to be release next year so I’m more the happy Carenado is choosing the PC12-47 because th PC12-47 cockpit is elegant and fun to fly.

Not related but I would also like Carenado to port the Grand Caravan EX and Cargomaster in MSFS, the 3D model of the original C208 is weird, the blade behaves weirdly and we can’t get the proper cargo variant Operated by FedEx for exemple

Carenado chooses planes that make use of default avionics or allow third party avionics to do what Carenado can't, which is...avionics.

Anyone remember the days when Carenado charged you extra if you wanted the synthetic vision system?

That is completely true and I also prefer them to do it that way rather that building a complete custum avionic suite. With this Carenado PC12-47 we will have acces to those awasome GTN750 addon that are aready available for msfs and it is a good thing. Simwork will do the PC12NG and they need time because it’s a complex task, that’s why they will also deliver the PC12-47 first, but I thurst them and I will also get that PC12 when available

The avionics suite in the PC-12 NG (Honeywell Primus Apex/Epic 2.0) is extremely complex, probably easily in G3000 complexity territory. It's definitely a 2-3 person year dev project at a minimum. It would be hard to ask that of those folks, for sure.

Black Square is doing a C208 (and king air) with analogue instruments

Gotta know what you're buying with Carenado.

Keep your expectations at default avionics but beautiful visuals. I buy their products for the nice 3D model & texture visuals, as their planes look gorgeous in VR's stereoscopic 3D.

Yes even the sheep skin seat covers appear really furry and fuzzy in VR.😍

It will be my first Carenado product on MSFS, but apparently they did really improve their product on the MSFS platform, can someone confirm that?

Their mooney is praised, their C337, Seminole and Seneca are appreciated as well.

I also know that on P3D and Xplane this very PC12 was really well reviewed, so I'm happy they don't change anything and give us the same PC12-47 they produced for Xplane 11 and lift it up to MSFS standard. I'm expecting a good product even if I know stuff like circuit breakers won't be modeled

Maybe we need to stop with this constant bashing of some dev. Carenado is one of them, just let them do their stuff and see if it is for you, if not then maybe Simworks will well..... Works

I suppose that depends on what you compare. Their C182 on X-Plane is a lot better than the incomplete junk they offer on MSFS.

... and the ground handling of their Waco in MSFS is nowhere near realistic (to be fair: some say MSFS is limited in this regard, but other devs have made taildragger behaviour better with the same tools).

I do like their Beech 18 in MSFS though. And everything looks very good. But I am remain unconvinced their flight dynamics match the efforts that went into their X-Plane releases.

Yeah I know their C182 is known to be pretty bad, but I don’t take it into account because it was their first MSFS product with a limited SDK, early MSFS flight model and lacking avionics. They really should have supported it better with consistent update, that is a big negative point.

I think what really mater is the last release of the dev, Captain Sim for exemple was respected but today each release is more and more laughable….they relly need somthing big to make me even consider them
