It wasn't until SU5 tbh, I never had ATC issues until the XBox merge.

Because of more users coming on board. It seems to be server overload, so it depends how many users are connected at a given time. That's my take on it.

You may be right. Asobo never openly said anything about this, as a matter of fact they are still not publicly addressing the Azure disconnects. It drives me absolutely insane as I'm directly affected and I even got myself in a bit of a hot water with the moderators on their forums for being "too vocal" about this.

No loss here.

What issue is there now? Weather matches METAR and ATIS now matches depicted weather.

That's great! I'm looking forward to more beautiful cloud variations like I once saw on this beautiful sim.

MSFS

One positive to take from today's beta issues is the speed at which the fix was deployed. Yes it should not have happened. But i guess that's the joys of Beta testing. But credit where credits due.

Honestly considering the problems that even the full builds regularly introduces, the fact that people freely offer their systems to the Beta release baffles me.
They'd have to pay me well for the inconvenience and time (as they should)

On the second day of SU9 beta I couldn't load the sim because it crashed.  I just clicked the 'none' option in Steam and went back to SU8.  When the update was released I clicked on 'beta SU9' in steam and continued beta testing.  Been very stable for me after that initial problem.  It is good to have input to the process and shape the release version of SU9.

The latest update has made the default C172 very nice to fly.

You won't see that in SU9 I don't think.  So far I have seen pixelation and banding gone on nearby clouds, but distant clouds still look poor (ash clouds still there).  So far in the SU9 beta there is still only cumulus in the sim.

Yes, I get we would ideally want to spread the load more evenly across GPU and CPU esp maybe with RTX cards, but I have an older GTX1080Ti and I suspect maxing it on 99-100% on an older architecture leaves me potentially with less headroom for high load situations, higher heat, and mem swapping giving more potential for stutters. That's all. Actually its only back to about 65% now on approach in heavy so it's mostly high clouds that does that. So that's still an 'improvement' for me at least.

I think you're worried about something you don't need to be. The cooling is obviously important, so make sure your fans are clean and have good airflow. And do watch the temps. As to the load, that GPU can run at 100% it's entire life as long as the voltages and temperatures are good. If you try to overload it, it will simply drop frames and run what it can. No harm to be done. Even if you run it at 100% all day every day, the card will become obsolete before it degrades. Get every nickles worth of performance out of it that you can. Drive it like you stole it. 😀

A tiny issue but the map no longer works in the marketplace. It does not show me any of the addon and bespoke airports installed. The map does show them all correctly in the Welcome screen.

• Fixed a silent crash when launching the title directly from the shortcut without having the Steam client open

Yes, that was fixed. No longer a problem.

Maybe its just on my system, but MSFS starts up faster now from boot to ready to make a flight. About 1/3 faster. Perhaps this has nothing to do with the beta, but maybe it does.

Mine is much faster also.

Jacek how often are you seeing this?  I've had it happen but only a very few times and I fly alot.

Every flight sadly. I switched to the Windows text-to-speech for now because literally 5-10 minutes into every flight I was losing the ATC. Someone said earlier that in SU9 when it disconnects, it connects to the text-to-speech, currently it doesn't do it so you fly muted until you land and just hear your pilots voice.

. Fixed extremity Dead Zone and Reactivity Settings not saving on Xbox

The same problem was on the PC version too. I am happy to say both are fixed, Xbox and PC now save Extremity Dead Zone settings  Yay!

I don't know why anyone not a virtual stunt pilot or pylon racer wants extreme yoke and rudder. It just gets you out of trim and stablity too fast. Real planes increase forces as the yoke and pedals move to the ends. Its different on our sim controllers, where it's far easier to make the passengers scream!

I knock of 50% off the ends of elevator and aileron. I only decrease sensitivity on the rudder. You need full rudder on the ground.

Lets say full is 100 and centered is 0.

With no EDZ, move the stick half way and its 50. Move all the way and its 100.

With EDZ move the stick half way and its 25. Move the stick all the way and its 50.

You are still using the entire movement of the controller, it's still proportional, it's just moving the surface less.
