"We just released a new build allowing you to get the 1.25.7.0 version. By updating this new version, issues encountered today (If you were part of players impacted) should now be solved."

...........

does this apply to those of us in the SU9 Beta who did not face the problem because they stayed offline today ?

Beta bugs, even such stupid and annoying ones as today's, do happen. but the speed at which it got solved is impressive nevertheless. it got solved before I could even run into it. thanks Asobo/MSFS for coming to the rescue last minute and a peaceful easter weekend to all Beta and non-beta pilots!

Honestly considering the problems that even the full builds regularly introduces, the fact that people freely offer their systems to the Beta release baffles me.
They'd have to pay me well for the inconvenience and time (as they should)

We're all forced the update eventually, my mentality is I may as well see how bad it's going to be early on.

And I've lost about 15 FPS everywhere with SU9.

Nope, still the same voice for AI traffic and ATC.

Now now, less negative opinion, they'll start flaming you in here for that. You'll be a troll within seconds...!

Yup

Just to be more cheerful, so grateful to this forum for alerting me to the bugged out update this morning (UK). And kudos to Asobo for the quick fix.

Just downloaded the new one. Flying in grey wet Scotland in the TBM G3000 mod at FL240 from UK2000 EGPF to EGPO. 1440p at LOD 350, ULTRA on everything in dense clouds, FPS limited in VSync to 30fps. Latency on the main thread and GPU 20-30+ ms better at cruise, so a bit higher than the last build but super smooth even in teat high cloud that always got me. GPU usage is up again from 55% to 99% so bit of a shame but I'm really pushing the system now, and fingers x'd very happy so far. Pretty impressed with the superb cloudscapes too! really coming on. You SU8 guys do have a something to look forward to.

This is what we want!

I think what was meant by that is that the ATC Controller person would not use the same voice as the AI Traffic Pilots. Haven't check yet...

Back in the day Beta build of MSFS 2020 were simply Early Access builds (that were a step behind release) and no issues were addressed despite reporting ad nauseum.  TBH the latest two releases of the SU9 Beta actually addressing some of these issues is very appreciated.  During Alpha and subsequent release beta post RTM this is exactly what we (testers) had been complaining most about.  It is nice to no longer feel like a lab rat and more like an active participant in the refining process.  Kudos to Asobo for making this transition over the last couple of Flights.

Yes, I get we would ideally want to spread the load more evenly across GPU and CPU esp maybe with RTX cards, but I have an older GTX1080Ti and I suspect maxing it on 99-100% on an older architecture leaves me potentially with less headroom for high load situations, higher heat, and mem swapping giving more potential for stutters. That's all. Actually its only back to about 65% now on approach in heavy so it's mostly high clouds that does that. So that's still an 'improvement' for me at least.

sorry to say, but when I look at these updates .... it's such a chaos, I don't see any common line of fixing specific things ... only the C172 fixes are a reason to be happy. These fixes are such a slow pace and in such chaos, I don't understand it at all, this title is being developed by such a large team of people at Asobo and Microsoft .... SU is released every few months .... each should have specific and really important improvements in weather, flight model, multiplayer, etc etc ... and what we get is a patchwork of random minor or minor corrections ... echhhh. At such a pace, we will not get anything in 5 years' time.

If they manged to improve the "live" weather depiction, that would be a step in the right direction. I also read that they will be fixing some AI bugs. If they do that in the next two updates, we will have something that should excite us.

What issue is there now? Weather matches METAR and ATIS now matches depicted weather.

Almost. ATIS still says Dewpoint is still 10 degrees everywhere. 😉
