Well....if he submitted it back around April 17th, that would be about 6 weeks.  But something tells me it was only submitted recently.  So not sure if MP Gatekeeper actually told him May 31 when he submitted it, or they too are just speculating when we should see it appear in the MP.

Does anyone here have access to the Dev's ear to ask him?  Does he even respond here at Avsim?   Inquiring minds want to know  Hehe...but yeah with all the other birds I have and have not flown yet, if May 31 goes by and I'm still Honda'less, I'll survive. 🙂

On the flip side, Milviz released the 310 a few weeks ago on their site only and said on their release stream that it would be on Orbx shortly, and then the marketplace maybe a month after launch. It was on the MP in a week! Before it was available on Orbx. These are just the facts. I think it’s possible for someone to plan a launch on the MP with a specific date. We’ll see next week, but I’m hopeful. Regardless, I picked up the C414 yesterday so I have plenty to enjoy until the Hjet officially releases. 
 

Edit: I’ve been thinking about this since I posted, and if they are releasing on the Marketplace exclusively with a definite date within a week, I’d bet that the Hjet is approved already, and the Dev explicitly told them not to release until the 31st exactly. A few follow up calls/emails from the dev a day or two or three before the 31st to make it as definitive as possible. Just speculating…

Skipped through a bit of this to get to a place to post. If I missed some nuance i apologize.
Summary. We proposed a couple of different dates to MSFS leading up to this. Got the same response on all of them. We need 1 week to process and test the file. Release date wouldnt be a problem.
The last one (31) we didnt get a response on. I have followed up on this because I do obviously want a to confirm. Its also worth noting that the other proposed dates were all on a Tuesday.
Since then Ive been in contact with them. They have the package and are testing it. Marwan will probably need to push another one up between now and then anyways. This is something we had to do on our last release as well. The first took the longest and the following ones were quick. If something happens then so be it. Ill issue a statement and say its pushed to a certain date. (a day or two later.) Its fluid. We will make it work. You will get the product.
@MarcG We understand your POV. We havent taken ORBX or Contrails etc off the table yet. However, it wont be in the first round. Still looking at the possibility of a delayed launch there. Thats a decision that requires all of weighing in and most important Marwans desires.

It's risky not to offer options. The marketplace let me down a few times and it's really hard to buy anything from that store. Many customer will probably decide not to buy it just because it's sold only at the MS marketplace.

I'm not touching the Marketplace for the following reasons

1. Encrypted files...one of the best things about purchasing payware addons is the multitude of free mods that are produced for these addons on flightsim.to. Why would I automatically alienate myself from freeware mods and even product improvement fixes/patches submitted by other simmers before the actual product's dev's acknowledge and issue hotfix patches?

2. Delayed hotfix/patch updates.....There are no perfect bug/issue free version 1.0 product releases that don't need anything. So if I'm buying a product, expecting initial bugs and quirks that need to be addressed(pretty much the accurate history and experience of all of these payware aircraft releases lately) I don't want to wait weeks for initial hotfix patches I want to be able to access to the patch/download from the devs ASAP.

3. There have been numerous issues regarding all Marketplace DLC content being mysteriously and abruptly removed from folks content storage. A one or two instance incident wouldn't bother me as much, but unfortunately it's a common reoccurring issue causing customers tons of grief and frustration.

I was in that camp on attitude toward the MS Marketplace when with the early to mid SU's I had so many MS Store/xBox hoops to jump through to just find those sim updates, much less get them installed.  That had me leaning toward jettisoning my MS Store installation of MSFS and MS Store purchases in favor of a new purchase and installation of the Steam version.  The potential barrier was sacrificing those Marketplace products I had already bought and paid for, understanding they would not transfer from MS Store installation to a Steam installation.

 The MS Store update process has been corrected and streamlined, so to me that is no longer a factor (at least for now),

Firstly, I agree with many comments regarding probable reasons for NOT purchasing from the MP.  As of this date, I have yet to make a MSFS purchase from there, but have made plenty of purchases from Simmarket, PMDG, FSDreamteam. Orbx, FlyTampa, FS2Crew, Aerosoft, and many more.

However, FlightFX has stated on day of release (May31) purchases will ONLY be available from the Marketplace, and they are hoping that delayed releases may be available thru ORBX, Contrail, or similar merchants.

As business jets are my first love in flight sim, I will be purchasing the Honda jet on May 31.  With the awesome price of $25, I won't feel slighted one bit if future update delays from the MP force me to buy it again elsewhere.  The $50 spent will still beat MOST all other add on aircraft I would have purchased.

Cool! Just posted a topic about the lack of the big business jets in this sim. Can only wish. Yes, the textures in the HondaJet look great. Will wait to see what people think of the flight dynamics.

Excellent point! Pulls down the image of the good ones and pushes up the image of the bad ones for many products! Only forums like this are people able to squeeze out the truth “quality”. Not great to have a medium to high end quality product like the HJet on the same shelf as stuff you would never purchase. MP went in the wrong direction very quickly!

Just watched the "1st Look stream" from Two Tone Murphy.  The HJet is absolutely beautiful !  Awesome interview with the developer and so much to learn about the features we've never seen before.  For example, if the pilot sets all exterior lights to NORM, he doesn't have to activate another light switch. They all know when to activate and deactivate NAV, Beacon, Taxi, Strobes, Landing etc..  The  G3000 in this HJET is already set for full VNAV operation. Aircraft pressurization and hydraulics FULLY automatic (no pilot input required) .

Looking forward to Fabio's stream on Monday when he will complete a flight in the HJet 👍
