Ahhhhhh, so this is why the PC12 was delayed...

I had this in P3D and it was alright.  I've spent my money for the month but maybe in July!

I really don't understand the anti-carenado stuff.  They make some decent value planes for the money.  Their Seneca and Skymaster are actually quite good in MSFS.

And Mooney as well for a single engine. They have their market.

Many years ago they really had a bad run of great looking aircraft that flew like a grand piano. Some people never forget and keep bashing them. Their a/c are  not study level but generally look fantastic and fly pretty darn well.

Frankly, they're a whole lot better than many payware aircraft

Exactly! Maybe we can keep this thread about a local legend as intended.

The issue with Carenado in MSFS is that they issue very limited patches for their aircraft. It's night and day compared to e.g. the Just Flight Arrow.

If you have Tinnitus, do not buy it.

The high pitched fuel pump sound triggered mine...

Side note:  A friend of mine was in an auto accident 30 years ago.  His body was crushed,  and his father had to call surgeons out of the phone book to get one to operate on him because the hospital said he wouldn't survive.   For  the past 30 years he's been deaf in one ear,  and had Tinnitus in the other.    I had to speak loudly for him to hear me above the Tinnitus.  He said it was driving him crazy.    Then I found the following video in my YT suggestions.

I asked him to rate his Tinnitus,  and then do this exercise.    He rated his Tinnitus at 10/10.    He did one repetition,   and then turned to me and said his Tinnitus was a 2/10.   Later the same day I asked him if the ringing was still ok.   He replied that he didn't notice it at all,   until I asked him.

Thanks, Todd. It looks great in the videos, how well did it fly? Local Legend #5

I seems a little twitchy and too quick to respond to control inputs for the type airplane it is but I'll fly it.  🙂+

Yup, it is a little bit light on the controls and twitchy, but it looks and sounds good. I found it was tolerable if you don't overcontrol it; good fun for not much money.

I really love the Beech 18. The plane looks totally legit. The passenger section is beautiful even. I never had a problem with Carenado.

well if you dont want any system depth carenado is very ok, always looks good.

it is the different stuff for different people again.

There have been an amazing number of Beech 18 variants and modifications over the years.   Single tail, triple tail, tricycle undercarriage, floats - you name it.

The Tongan Defence force even had one!!

Has anybody shut an engine down to see how it behaves asymmetrically?

Edit:

Although I should add in relation to His Majesty's Tongan Defence Services:

"The Air Force was established in 1996 and operates one Beechcraft G.18S aircraft in the maritime patrol and search and rescue roles, and an American Champion Citabria light trainer.[1] The current position of the HMAF air wing is unclear but both aircraft have not been active for a long time.[2] Tonga is looking for a replacement for the ancient G18S"

Cheers
