August 16Aug 16 Author Work-in-Progress of Gillespie v4. The west part with the Transient Parking and the runup at 9L is done. Let's say it's a quarter of the whole airfield. And it's the easiest part ;)The process of the update is in place working with Gimp, Blender, MSFS2020 and MSFS2024. Internet search to get the last picture of anything related to the field is also part of the toolbox. Now, it's just a matter of finding some spare time ;) Vincent B. August 24Aug 24 Author Slow progress. Lake of spare time. There's really a huge number of signs with a lot of specifics like double sided. But overall, looks good in the sim, right? Vincent B. August 24Aug 24 Looks great Vincent, KSEE my virtual home base and where I store my Cows DA40 and DA42 :) A huge thank you for your continuous efforts with the San Diego airfields. Your work brings a lot of extra joy to my flight sim hobby for sure. Hard to imagine when my dad introduced me to Microsoft Flight Simulator some 37 years ago when this 13 year old guy was so amazed flying back and forth between Meigs Field and O'hare in Chicago, that MSFS would look this good so many years later. San Diego especially being a beautiful city as it is in real life and with all the nice TIN city detail in MSFS, your airports thrown in the mix and a little Say Intentions ATC. Hard to complain really :) Edited August 24Aug 24 by mikced

August 25Aug 25 Author Next v4 update will not only rely on new taxiway signs. It will also included updates on colors and textures. Dozen of new patches here and here based on more recent satellite images. And better texture on runway shoulder. As seen for example, at threshold runway 27R:It will also includes re-alignment of dozens of ground marking because the ground satellite image has changed. For example with this edge painted line. Details that no-one will notice. Just a matter of doing stuff properly :) Vincent B. Check my free MSFS sceneries : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio/trending and my hardware configuration.
Sunday at 12:31 PM4 days when you update to v4 can you have a look at the east transient parking. There is an extremely low quality car parken almost right on the taxi line. Not only does it block taxi but darn does it detract from the immersion. Can it be removed? 😁 The times I have noticed it its white but I dont know if default assets change. Default vehicles are ugly though.

At tge "East Transient Parking". You mean the "new" one? Didn't put any car there, as far as I know :) (MSFS2020 screenshot)EDIT 5.35pm UTC: found cars! On MSFS2024 only, seem to be Ai Generated. Will remove them! Edited Sunday at 06:02 PM3 days by vbazillio Vincent B. Check my free MSFS sceneries : https://flightsim.to/profile/vbazillio/trending and my hardware configuration.
