CU1 also seems to imply they're planning more CUs in the future, and this doesn't really make sense to me as "Cologne Update 2, 3, etc", even with gamescom being held annually. City Update maybe? Or maybe continent as someone suggested. Not as focused as world updates but a smattering of stuff over a bigger area. Edited August 19, 20223 yr by Tuskin38

August 19, 20223 yr I would expect that there wouldn't be an "Africa" update as such, perhaps a Southern, Central and Northern. But maybe more realistically than that, certain countries. Remembering that Africa is the second biggest continent on the planet. All other world updates have been countries, quite often small countries in Europe. I would love to see South Africa get some love, I spent a lot of time flying over there and its beautiful (the shooting, robbery and murdering aside ). SA also has a very long and rich aviation history. Cape Town isn't to bad with ORBX Cape Town City added on, just would be nice to see the rest of the country given an upgrade. There are definitely some better satellite images of JHB than what is currently in the sim. Maybe next year? Anthony Anthony Milner

August 19, 20223 yr Whatever CU1 means, I believe it has a matching "local legend". If it means City Update, any corresponding aircraft guesses?

Logical conclusion: CU1 = Cologne Update 1 😉 Ok, just kidding, your guess is as good as mine - or probably even better 😅 Probably not, since the city’s name in German is Köln🙂 Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. August 20, 20223 yr Jorg said in an earlier interview that they wanted the sim to look better below 500ft. I hope this is somehow linked to Blackshark.ai and the first step to improve the melted world. // 5800X3D // RTX 3090 // 64GB RAM // HP REVERB G2 //

That seems like a very sensible guess and like something they would do as a focused update... Something akin to what Orbx and Samscene3D does for a default city.
