After a lot of work and even more testing, we are finally able to announce that the Amphibian version of the Kodiak 100, arguably the best turboprop aircraft in MSFS will be available on Wednesday the 12th of October.

The Amphibian will be sold at 14.99€, while existing customers who got the wheeled variant will be able to get it for 9,99€.

We are in the process of pushing the aircraft to all the third party shops and Microsoft to ensure a quick and smooth release. The update to the wheeled Kodiak will also be released on the same day. Here is a link to the aircraft trailer for your enjoyment:

The Kodiak will spend much less time parked in my hangar now.

Well, lets hope they make the flight model cfg available. Not everyone has 12 or 8 cm of elevator movement on there yoke's.

Just adjust the sensitivity of your elevator. I have no problem at all controlling the Kodiak.

word not allowed that's cheap!  Thought it would cost a lot more.  Hope they're going to make a little money after months of development.

Easy day 1 purchase.

Not to hijack the thread but I have Kodiak sensitivity issues.  I find even with the smallest of movements the airplane over responses.  Is this what you're referring to?

Can't imagine I'll fly it a huge amount but for the price it is a no-brainer.

Kind of, it's not that it's a bad aircraft, but the developers seem to forget that different yokes have different amounts of length movement in them. Logitech yokes have 8 cm full travel, where as the Honeycomb has 16cm and the Velocity has 21 cm full travel.

That's all well and good, but sometimes it doesn't solve the problem.

Anyway, this these is about the release of the Kodiak, so I'll leave it there.

Have you tried adjusting extremity dead zone, and do you even know what it does?

The devs have already stated that this is an issue that they're going to address in the update.

Another commonly reported problem, the aircraft's pitch sensitivity, has been adjusted. We have reduced the pitch response of the elevator relative to the yoke, which will make fine control much easier for the majority of desktop yokes that have a very short throw. The current pitch response is smoother and finer, but the aircraft still requires proper trim discipline to fly.

No, Bob. The Kodiak is getting an update addressing his concerns. I am passing this information along to you so that you do not have to offer "advice" and ask condescending questions like:

Extremity dead zone will do the same thing with a short throw yoke. You just have to adjust it.. Not condescending, just trying to be informative.

I appreciate the input and I didn't find it condescending.
