SWS Kodiak 100 Hotfix Out

It's certainly not intuitive or what I'm used to seeing.... perhaps the SWS rep will stop by again and shed some light on this....

I did notice today that it still drops the nose when AP is disengaged.

Numbers look scrambled up, the 10's number is not in line with the other two. I was thinking that I had made a change months ago so that the Kodiak could use an asobo gauge instead of the Kodiak one for better FPS. I forgot how I did that, and if I should remove it now?

I have sent a fix for that to the author, and this may come in another hotfix..

Here is the fix (better performance as well)... unzip into your Community folder:

Thanks Bert.  I see I still have some "old" Kodiak mods in my Community folder, can't recall what they do. Do I still want to use these with the latest Kodiak Wheels update?

May be a sim issue, I've seen this with other planes as well. One thing you can try is to first turn on Flight Director, and when it stabilizes in pitch (couple seconds), then turn on the AP. In general, it is usually good to turn on the flight director first to make sure it is working correctly because it is the flight director that "tells" the autopilot what to do.

Been flying the Kodiak wheeled version, and it is flying great. I find that rudder trim is only needing about 1 click to he right and elevator trim, is just slightly forward of straight up on takeoff. Taxiing is much easier now, in controlling taxi speed with low idle.

Thanks for that. So, the previous recommended settings for EL Trim = LOT OF NOSE DN; RUDDER Trim = 30 - 50% Right were an aberration? I assume AILERON trim remains the same  @ 5 - 6 Clicks to the Right?

I have been using around 2 clicks to the right, which seems to work out most of the time. If I use the original nose down trim the Kodiak doesn't want to leave the runway, so I have almost no nose down trim now.

Good to hear. Look forward to that update. I kind of freaked out a bit thinking I did something wrong after starting it.

I find the yoke is way to sensitive in pitch in the Kodiak compared to other aircraft even though all the controller settings are the same.  I haven't seen any other similar reports so I assume it is just a problem with my system, but don't have any idea why.

Thx,

Al

It is pitch sensitive.

Same here. Keep hoping an update will address this. Rudder sensitivity, too.

I use Axis and Ohs to control all the axes on the Kodiak (and other MSFS aircraft) but Lorbi's AAO calibration isn't the most intuitive. Sometimes I feel I'm doing more harm than good. Breaking way too much cargo in Neofly4. Other planes aren't this difficult.
