Who wants to operate out of an empty airport? Any performance hit will be minimal unless you are talking the true mega airports that have 100+ parked aircraft, then add those AI from nearby airports which are the really unneeded ones. Customize it to work with your system. I'll take a few fps all day every day to give airports some life. I see plenty of aircraft at the gates without the parked aircraft though 💁♂️ that was my point…

If I load real traffic, I have ample aircraft at the gates. All the statics do is add more unneeded, unmoving, 'static' aircraft at a fps hit. I could understand the need for them if AI traffic didn't populate the gates, but they do.

I don't think that any of the aircraft in Cpt_Piett's screen are static. Parked aircraft become flying aircraft in usually a short period of time, they are all part of the actual traffic. i7-13700KF, 32gb DDR4 3200, RTX 4080, Win 11, MSFS 2024

I even went searching for a Luton addon but there was only one by UK2000. But - this led me to go search for Stansted - and there's an excellent freeware addon available. 18 minutes ago, Dave_YVR said: I don't think that any of the aircraft in Cpt_Piett's screen are static. October 19, 20223 yr It might be useful to include statics at small GA airports but nothing where there is regular airline traffic. An option to allow that would be welcome.

It's the smaller regional fields that always feel barren and lifeless to me when using default live traffic. FSLTL combined with the fantastic GA addon definitely do add some life to these airports though.

Yes, you can redo it before any update (as suggested) but I don't know the outcome íf you forget this or an update jumps in without prior notice (we had these). As I learned, there's always a danger of having to reinstall the whopping > 200 GB in case of manipulations within the Official folder. Does anyone know a way to achive better GA traffic without manipulations in the Official folder?
