Mix of High and Ultra / LOD 170/160

No stutters anymore from the moment I started using ISLC. No issues anymore at approach to a major hub with a large city nearby.

Some are benefiting from this app and others don’t… Worth to try.

I was going to try this though the last part about nvidiaProfileInspector in MSFS profile does not show the same as in the in Unknown section with the last version of  https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/tag/2.4.0.3

Any clue?

Please share your graphics settings! There are so many options! I'm struggling to find the best balance between performance and quality. Thanks in advance!

You have frame generation turned on, correct? You can see from my signature I have the same rig and I'm getting 90+fps on final into ORD while on VATSIM and using PMDG. At Newark this past week while on the ground, I have a ton of aircraft on the ground while using VATSIM and the worst I got was 67fps. Everything is ultra. Frame generation is key here... so do you have it on? lol

Same configuration here. With FG I typically hit 120-140fps in the cruise with the Fenix A320 and when landing in Inibuilds' EGLL I can generally stay above tha "magical" 60fps, using PSXT/Realtraffic with the AIG models.

Next step will be getting a G-sync Ultimate monitor, but I'm still extremely happy with the present setup.

Setting are almost all ULTRA with TLOD at 130.

Cheers, Søren Dissing

That was me with my 4790k at 1080ti early this year!  Of course I love eye candy so it's my own fault haha.

Ok in other related video I found someone with the same problem and an answer: "It's no longer under Unknown settings. Nvidia now has it under "Common" settings. They are now labelled as rBAR Feature, rBAR Options and rBAR Size Limit."

Pretty much.  Vsync for me though since I don't have a gsync monitor.  Clearing the cache is what did it for me.

Did you read my post above? Do you have frame generation turned on?

hope you enjoying your new rig, my finances (and missus) get in the way of a new £3000 rig!

I didn't upgrade mine all at once.  Originally started with a 2500K and GTX 570 back in 2011.  Kept those parts for a while....  got a handmedown GTX 980 for free later.  Got a 4790K and new ddr4 mobo about 4 years ago for pretty cheap from someone here.  Bought a used 1080 Ti off someone also on avsim for 400 about 3 years ago.  Early this Feb I bought my brand new PC (less GPU) case/psu/cpu/mobo and parts for about 2100 USD.  Keep in mind those were covid prices so I paid about 15-20% more than they were.  So my case wasn't upgraded for over a decade!  Then comes the ouch lol....the RTX 4080 early this month (or Nov can't recall).  And got a great deal on the HP Reverb G2 about half off on Black Friday as well.

A 13900K would be great (but probably not worth the upgrade over my 12700K) but ideally in a year or two I am strongly considering the Pimax Crystal VR headset - it's a lot sharper/clearer than the HP I've got now.

Anyway the 4000+ USD wasn't spent overnight on the new system...  The video card was a bit rough I admit - however used 3080 Ti's were going for 800 USD!  Ouch.  The Frame Gen has been worth it - tricky part is my monitor does flicker from time to time because it's not native Gsync.  I'll likely opt out of a new monitor in favor of the nicer VR headset someday.
