December 28, 20223 yr Just a heads up, I always check the store for updates every day, before launching the sim. (Launch the Store, look to the bottom left of the screen, for a blue dot next to the library symbol,) Was surprised to see 26 today, usually just one or two. Even when you've installed the updates, best click on "Get Updates" again, for some reason if they're updates to Xbox or the Store, they seem to come in 2 parts, which was true today. Eugene
December 28, 20223 yr Yeah I do the same. I'm thinking people with MSFS problems might not do this religiously.
December 28, 20223 yr Zero updates for me. AMD Ryzen R9 9950X3D | Asus Astral RTX 5080 OC | 32 GB DDR5 6000 CL30 | 3440x1440 G-Sync | Logitech Pro Throttles Rudder Yoke Panels | Thrustmaster T.16000M FCS | TrackIR 5 | Oculus Rift S
December 28, 20223 yr If the update process is decently written, MSFS would take care about this in any way. MSFS should then update itself and all that is needed without any hassle and in the correct order if that is needed. The Store version (can't comment on Steam) can be a bit of a struggle. Sometimes MSFS just updates itself from within it's own update check, sometimes it tells me to go to the Store and update from there (a step which should not be done imo, still don't understand why), or sometimes when opening the Store there is no update unless i updated the XBox app first. If i didn't update the XBox app, no update available for the sim. This is 2022, soon 2023 even. We should not deal with a 90's update process anymore. Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. December 28, 20223 yr On the beta here. Just checked a few moments ago. Absolutely no updates for me. Last one was a small update to the WT Garmin units a few days ago. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
December 28, 20223 yr Nope, no updates here either. I never look in the MS Store BTW. MSFS is updating itself and I get a notification in the upper-right corner for Content Manager updates.
December 28, 20223 yr Quite a few Microsoft Store updates for me over the last few days. I check as I do for system updates every few days. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
December 28, 20223 yr Are these MS Store updates for MSFS, specifically? That could be part of the confusion here. I always assume that updates for MSFS will be announced, and handled, when I start MSFS. So far that has always worked -- no need to go to MS store unless instructed to do so.

Some of the MS Store updates, such as “Gaming Services” and the XBox app, are not directly part of MSFS, but are required to be on the computer for MSFS to connect properly. If these MS Store apps are not updated when new versions come out, it could explain why at least some users suddenly lose all or part of the MSFS online services such as the Marketplace or Live Weather Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist. I've noticed quite a few 'Dolby Atmos for Headphones' updates over Christmas. As I use that when in MSFS, it is related. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base
December 28, 20223 yr None here either. The topic is really in the wrong place, as it is pretty clear that the OP has numerous other Microsoft Store purchases that have nothing to do with MSFS. As mentioned, if there is an update to MSFS, it will not start until that update is installed. That seems like a good idea, as it ensures that at least, every user has the same base files. If there are updates in the Content Manager, there is the notification to be seen. That seems 2022 enough for most users.
December 28, 20223 yr Just had another look and there are suddenly three more, two of which are linked to MSFS (and other games). I'm wondering if Dolby Atmos for Headphones has an issue as there was yet another update for that. 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

Why should he have other purchases? Under which rock do you live, probably the Steam one? I only have MSFS bought through the Store but still the Store has quite a few updates to deliver on things that i "own" on a regular basis. This stuff that i "own" just came with Windows. The topic is in the Microsoft Flight Simulator forum, so whether there may be 26 updates to things at the Microsoft Store is really not relevant to the simulator, for which there appear to have been none.
