Thank you everyone for your screenshots.

We were able to establish that not one particular region or server is affected by the Azure cache bug. Asobo is currently waiting on Azure’s engineers to come back to them regarding the issue.

We can only invite you to wait until the issue is fixed.

From the MSFS forum.

  • Or the frequent, "Patience you must learn" comment. I hate when folks blindly defend something and stand on a hill for absolutely no reason. There are no pitch forks... no riots... just folks who want

  • Oh well, then clearly everyone else is doing it wrong including Asobo who have it listed as being under investigation. 🙄

  • True wisdom.  We have a cloud-based sim which depends on a billion things being just right in order to function, and MS/Asobo has kept the weather largely highly functional 99% of the time and now all

Just did a flight from Rotterdam to Corfu and Live Weather worked for me.  I'm on the Western European server if that matters.

I have found that when it looks like it works it's still getting it wrong. Last night I flew to a destination with plenty of clouds. Problem was, there wasn't meant to be any according to weather reports🤣

Also, METAR is totally random for different airports. For some it might be current, but for others it's like 1-2 days ago.

My weather disappeared mid-way across the Atlantic this morning after showing accurate weather (albeit from a 20-minute old METAR) in EHAM. Winds aloft data is still working though, which is a shame as I could have done with those headwinds being deleted 😄.

They figured out that it is some kind of Azure Server Cache problem and are in contact with the software engineers at Azure, waiting for them to come back to them with a solution.

People are reporting that European weather generation is ok now.

It is not.

It has been fine for me the last 3 days - 5 flights in the Fenix A320.

Using a VPN is not a guaranteed solution. Here are some additional details as to why:

Some of the Azure cache servers that are used to distribute Live Weather data are not updating correctly to the latest versions of the data.

The game checks for new data very regularly but not from one server, meaning that from one request to another, the game client might hit a different server. The client can then receive data that is up-to-date OR data that is several hours/days old.

We have requested Azure engineers assistance and are waiting for the results of their investigation. In the meantime we are also exploring other potential solutions to circumvent the issue.

At least they are communicating with us about it.

Looks like it’s a wait game on Azure engineers.

They all have been terminated recently. ChatGPT is our new "engineer" 🙂

East USA

It's giving me 29.92, when it should be 29.85
