SU12 is LIVE

The clouds look spectacular to me -- better than ever after SU12! In the photo you posted, it looks like the cloud quality was reset to Low.

I checked the settings. Volumetric Clouds set to "Ultra"

Only the top layer of cirrus clouds looks bad for me. This is weird. I didn't notice this before.

2 flights so far. Clouds [Live Weather], looked good.

Sim feels 'smoother' & turbulence effect on GA aircraft appears diminished [ie, they aren't bouncing about like they used to]

Overall, so far, a very satisfactory update.

Anyone used the turbulence slider, what is the recommended setting...default ?

PMDG havnn't yet fixed the taxiing sadly. It's still tiller wheel and differential braking required for turns.

If you slow down for a sharp turn like a Uturn on a runway, it works fine.

For many, "On rails" would be the preferred setting I guess. 😉

I have mine set on 'Realistic' mode, but I have only done one flight thus far with the new SU, so too early to decide if that is the best setting.

AMD Ryzen 9900X3D & ASUS X870E Gaming Plus MB, w/64 Gb GSkill DDR5 RAM, PNY RTX 5090 GPU, lots of SSD's and M.2 drives, HAVN  Case, Virpil VPC Panels 2 and 3, Virpil Constellation Alpha Stick, Virpil Rotor TCS Plus w/ Hawk-60 Collective grip, TM TCA Yoke Boeing Edition, TM HOTAS A-10 and F/A-18 Sticks and TM TPR Rudder pedals. Currently on Win11

With the Cessna 152, you can still barely stay on the runway after landing with a 11 knot crosswind with full rudder. And it's a thrill ride to stay on the runway until take off using full rudder and differential braking.

I thought this excessive wind effect was being addressed in this update. I know some people were saying this is realistic, but I fail to believe it can be.

Oh well, I guess I will stay with real weather for the jets, and clear skies for the Cessna 152 and 172.

So far: Turbulence (with ability to adjust) - much much better. That by itself is for me worth the whole update.

Robert, where does one adjust the turbulence?

I noticed it was better straight after the update, but don't know what setting the sim is currently using.

The new Turbulence setting is found under Options -> Assistance -> Piloting. It is set to "Low" by default, by you can set it to "Moderate" or "Realistic" depending on your preferences.

Not for me. It is full tiller and differential braking for sharp turns.

It was fine until a while ago when something was changed in an update. Before that it worked the same as it does in PMDG aircraft in P3D. Unless I'm missing something in the aircraft settings of course, but I have checked multiple times.

Realistic of course. Only reduce if you personally think it is too strong.

If you don't know then you are using low. Because that is what it defaults to.
