March 26, 20233 yr I have had the problem of msfs ATC stoping talking to me sometime during a flight. This issue happens about 1/3 of my flights. I have tried turning AZURE off than back on but no help. It appears to me that I will need to switch to another ATC program. I do not want to use a microphone. Any sugestions for a ATC program? I heard that FSHUD can not work with add on airports so if this is true that would be another problem for me. Thanks Jim B.
March 26, 20233 yr I had that happen a lot. There seems to be a problem with the MS servers and Azure voices. My solution was to only use offline atc voices, then it doesn't happen. Lee Lee H i9 13900KF 64GB Ram 24GB RTX 4090
March 26, 20233 yr Author LEE, Thanks for the information about using the off line selection. I always thought that off line would result in no audio. But I decided to try it. And, I had ATC audio for the entire flight! So right now I am optimistic that this is going to work. Thank you for telling me about this work around. Jim B (W6HXW)

If you are using MSFS Marketplace encrypted scenery, currently, the application has no way of reading this scenery from BGL files. So, what happens now? Users see the add-on scenery but the application can only use the default scenery of the flight simulator. Sometimes, for example when an airport’s layout differs between the default and the add-on scenery, you might see AI aircraft parked incorrectly, maybe even parked with its nose driven into the side of a building. This is because the add-on scenery has a building footprint that is different from the default scenery, and the application has no information on this due to the scenery encryption. The good news is that there are many (probably most) airports where add-on scenery does not differ in position. In these cases our users will not notice any peculiar behavior.
April 6, 20233 yr Quote MSFS ATC stops talking to me Well, I'm not surprised. If you only speak to ATC to get what you want, only use short, clipped sentences, never ask how their day has been, it's to be expected! You should take the time to find out how ATC is feeling. And instead of always choosing, ask ATC where they would like you to go! Makes for a happier relationship and ATC might feel encouraged to speak with you for the entire journey again. April 6, 20233 yr This has been happening to me since SU12. I'm guessing that it's just another bug that won't get fixed. Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

April 6, 20233 yr For a couple of weeks, I had this problem when flying the PMDG 738, but not when flying the 737. ATC worked for the entire flight every time in the 737, but in the 738 it would sometimes refuse to use my flight number, or would stop using my airline call sign and start calling me "Boeing". Sometimes, I couldn't hear the ATC side of the conversation, other times, I couldn't hear my side. Did a flight in the 738 yesterday and there were no problems. I think the latest update fixed something on my system. I might have had a bad .cfg file... April 6, 20233 yr Ironically anytime I use the Com2 frequency to pick up ATIS before landing at times the ATC voices will take a dump. And it is almost like clock work I will lose the ATC voices when I let the Copilot take the coms for about 45mins to an hour with online Azure ATC. 🤡
