ProATC SR with GA Aircraft

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if this program works with GA aircraft, was going to try it for ATC but according to their webpage it only works with like 4 airliner aircraft. I primarily fly GA and if it doesn't support them guess I don't need it. Thanks for any help guys!

I guess one's first question is "what is your GA" ..... vmc/imc/pressurised or not/high or low etc.

for now, cheers

"GA" is not the category you should ask for, because a GA plane can also be capable to fly IFR.

You mean VFR

And no, is not supported by PROATCX

Yes. Afaik every ATC addon can do that. Although some are more convenient to work with then others.

It can be, or you can let a virtual co-pilot respond. Although would recommend a mic....

In 15 years of using ATC programs, I have never used a mic.

yep using  a mic  is  so much  easier to use  than  using  button  options

Wearing a headset and talking into a mic, is not something I would ever do, unless I am flying in a real aircraft. I have two buttons on my joystick to communicate with PF3 which serves for 95% of the functions I need to fly.One button contacts the controller, and the other button acknowledges the controllers instructions.

To actually answer your question, yes, ProATC will work with any aircraft (the 4 airliners mentioned also provide enhanced co-pilot functionality).  To use a GA callsign, Select Tail (REG) in the airline drop-down and type the registration in the Flight ID box.  As guenseli mentioned, it only supports IFR flights.

...and... ?

Obviously real pilots would never stoop to using a mic 🤣😂🤣

It doesn't work. Period. Waste of money. No support. No timely updates.

You don't want it and you don't need it.

i  find  it  easier  to use  mic  once  i  set  everything  up in  p2a  i  dont  need  to  bring  up  the  gui at  all, unlike  the  others  when  using  button  you need  to bring  up   the  gui  to make  selections,  eg  when  asking  of  direct  to  waypoint  i simply  contact  centre  by  mic,  same  with  changing of  alt  the  same  no need  to bring  up  the  gui  to  make  a  selection  on  the  gui  to  what i  want  to do. Plus it  easier  in  vr  as well
