June 15, 20232 yr I'm sure we'll all end up moving to MSFS 2024 eventually, am I excited by the trailer? NO, it just looks like another upgrade of what folks are already doing in the sim with 3rd party addons. Does a whole new 2024 title release feel like a totally cheesy money grab move? YES Just hoping the new features and improvements list is something to be excited for such as... Native Shared Cockpit Online Functionality Better Camera Functionality ie Spot View Zoom/Pan, Native First Person Camera Better Air, Ground Traffic and ATC AI Logic Better default Trees, Foliage and Improved Photogrammetry Better Default Rain/ Windshield Effects More details with default aircraft ie operable doors etc etc Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

June 15, 20232 yr I think I will skip this one and maybe get FS2028. my African sceneries for MSFS : https://darshonaut.blogspot.com/p/msfs-2020.html
June 15, 20232 yr The way I see it, if you upgrade to 2024, there is probably no need to keep 2020, as 'the vast majority' of addons will carry over. So you will only need to keep your 2020 installation if you don't want 2024. If this is the case, I can't see any reason for me to keep 2020. A bit like train sim really, where you either 'upgrade' each year or you don't, and if you don't you just keep using your old version. If you do upgrade, it makes your old version redundant. 2024 will swallow all of our 2020 content, but it will just add a newer graphics engine, plus new features, missions, and the new aircraft they show off, and of course, they want paying for it, which seems fair enough to me. And if people don't like the deal, they get to keep their 2020 version, no problems. That's the way I see it anyway. I know people can say 'you can't be sure', but at the moment, the balance of evidence points to this. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. June 15, 20232 yr And meanwhile 2020 is moribund. Good luck to any developer that brings out an addon and fails to state that the upgrade to 2024 will indeed happen and that it will be free! Edited June 15, 20232 yr by jarmstro

I will wait to see what FS2024 has to offer Fs2024 is so real and jam packed with AI and missions. If you crash you’ll have to wait till a rescue helicopter arrives and transports you to a hospital where you will remain for multiple days. Every time you then launch Fs2024 you’ll find yourself in a hospital bed …. And your ac is taken out of the ac library till Fs2026… 🧐 5950x3d 5.4-5.7 GHz - Asus ROG 870 Crosshair Apex - GSkill Neo 2x 24 Gb 6000 mhz / cas 26 - MSI RTX 5090 Gaming Trio OC - 1x SSD M2 6000 2TB - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 1Tb - Corsair 5400 case - Corsair 360 liquid cooling set - 3x 75’ TCL tv. 13600 6 cores @ 5.1 GHz / 8 cores @ 4.0 GHz (hypterthreading on) - Asus ROG Strix Gaming D - GSkill Trident 4x Gb 3200 MHz cas 15 - Asus TUF RTX 4080 16 Gb - 1x SSD M2 2800/1800 2TB - 2x Sata 600 SSD 500 Mb - Corsair D4000 Airflow case - NXT Krajen Z63 AIO liquide cooling - FOV : 200 degrees My flightsim vids : https://www.youtube.com/user/fswidesim/videos?shelf_id=0&sort=dd&view=0
